It's obvious the children love the event, this year's accident notwithstanding. I think it's great that Mary and Frederik take the kids to appropriate events and outings as a matter of course - they are a royal FAMILY, after all.
The kids are growing up quickly. Christian and Isabella, in particular, all of a sudden seem very grown up and poised to me compared to say, a year ago.

Full of errors. The man didn't fall from a horse.
The Hubertus Hunt does not mark the end of the hunting season. The hunting season has AFAIK not even begun yet. It marks the end of the horse-racing season for these particular riders.
The race is 11 km long.

It's really nice to see that the DM maintains its razor-sharp perception of something of which they know little or nothing and report with their usual attention to detail . . . I mean it's hard to differentiate between two legs and a man and four legs and a horse!

Sorry, I assumed this was the hunting event with gruesomely slaughtered animals.

Oh my, those children are changing every time we see them! They do seem to enjoy this event. Good to know the official isn't seriously injured.
Re the hunt: I thought it was to coincide with the feast day of St. Hubert, which is on Nov. 3. He is the patron saint of hunters and hunting.

yes, do not stop touching your sons!
Lovely picture of the family. Isabella seems to be really horse mad. They continue to do a wonderful job with the children

It is certainly named after the saint. But AFAIK it also the end of the riding season for these mostly "hobby-riders".

The Hubertus Hunt is always (since 1900) on the first Sunday in November. Since it originally was a fox-hunt this day was probably indeed chosen because the first Sunday usually is around the feast day of St.Hubert, though rarely on the 3rd itself.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #45, 2017.
Written by our man at the horses, Henrik Salling.
As you know, Mary and the children went to the Hubertus Hunt to watch the some 150 riders competing on the cross country course that is 11 (as in eleven, Daily Mail!) km long.
The highlight of the show is of course the infamous Magazine Pond, where riders hopefully don't fall off and end up in the cold water. - The horses actually leap into the shallow pond, rather than over an obstacle and then landing in a pond. - This year one person fell of. And that person happened to be a friend of M&F, Mette Ahlefeldt-Laurvig from Tranekær Manor, where M&F have been often. (See the general residence thread).
After the run Mary went to comfort her somewhat soaked friend.
The Hubertus Hunt has taken place since 1900 and it marks the last "jagt" of the year. - The word "jagt" means hunt, and it also means chase.
There is a photo of Vincent in the article I think most of you will like.
But see for yourselves here: BB #45, 2017
The photo of PH in the Royal Theater article is not a recent photo.
And while we are at it, here is a better-late-than-never issue from week 36: BB #36, 2017

Crown Princess Mary visited the organisation Neighbourhood Mothers yesterday, November 28. The Neighbourhood Mothers are primarily women of ethnic minority backgrounds who volunteer in the local area to support other women:
