It's been a busy few days for Mary. I was happy to see the event at the children's call centre - waaay back I used to volunteer for a similar organization for teens and adults. It's a practical and straightforward concept but it has the potential to do a lot of good. It's surprising how many people really just need someone to talk to.

The organization also seems to fit nicely with some of the issues that Mary has focused on and drawn attention to for years now.

She really knows how to pull out all the stops doesn't she......Mary is just glowing with happiness and it shows. That dress is so beautiful on her and shows how well she keeps good care of herself........absolutely beautiful! She is without a doubt a very hard working crown princess for Denmark.

Crown Princess Mary among others as Patron of UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, will attend the UN General Assembly (UNGA) and a series of events and meetings in connection with the UN General Assembly in New York City from September 17 - 19, 2017.

The programme of her visit was released today:

° Visit to the Claus Meyer Food School in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

° Dinner with Denmark's UN Ambassador Ib Petersen.

September 18th

° Participation in the event 'Deliver for Good: Inspiring SDG Action for Girls and Women'.

° Opening speech at a lunch meeting at the International Center for Research on Women (ICRW)

° UNFPA side event 'Rebuilding Shattered lives and Communities - the case of the Chibok and Yazidi girls'.

° Book launch of UNFPA's book #Childmothers. The Crown Princess has written the preface to the book, which is about a number of 15-year-old girls who have become mothers. During his trip to Burkina Faso in April 2016, the Crown Princess visited one of these young mothers.

° Opening of a new Shamballa flagship store in SoHo, Manhattan. Shamballa is a Danish jewelry company.

° Visit to the Danish health concept Dr. Smood, which aims to create a healthy and organic alternative to fast food.

September 19th

° Participation in the Forbes Summit.

° Attendance at the Global Goals World Cup and nomination of a player for SDG 5 Dream Team Player.

° Women Deliver event 'Handing over Canada as New Host Country'.

° Dinner and award ceremony in connection with 'Project Everyone'. The hosts for the dinner are Bill and Melinda Gates.

Mary today starts her trip to New York to participate in the UN general assembly, during the stay in New York, the Crown Princess will attend a series of events and meetings.
