like the... eeh... person to the left, then both Mary and our Marie are perfectly justified in whacking them with a frying pan. - This is simply not something children and little dogs should be allowed to see.

BB are interviewing the Danish well known people also attending the prize ceremony about our Crown Princess's style. Nice words to Mary:
Signe Lindqvist: "I'm more proud of our Crown Princess than I am of 'The Little Mermaid'. ;-)
"It's always Mary who comes with the dress and not vice versa. She is a very feminine woman, she has the X-factor."
"She is good to mix cheap with expensive. She comes across as an down to earth person and I think that it appeals to most that we can look just like her because she wears clothes from H&M."
The words 'elegant and classic' are mentioned many times.

This Sunday afternoon, Crown Princess Mary attends the gala premiere of the film "He Named me Malala". Grand Theatre, Copenhagen:

BB has been quick with a picture and article:
Kronprinsesse Mary beundrer Malala | billedbladet.dk
Mary who herself is very involved in promoting girls' and women's rights told that she is a great admirer of Malala.

BT article with pictures and video: "Mary beamed on the red carpet to film about Nobel-Malala":
Mary strålede på den røde løber til film om Nobel-Malala - Royale | www.bt.dk
A large female role model should in and watch a movie about another large female role model. This is how you can describe the Sunday's red carpet event where a big-smiling Crown Princess Mary attended the premiere movie about the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Malala Yousafzai.
Crown Princess Mary explained to BT briefly about the fight for equality and human rights which Malala fights for:
- "It's a very big question. But it means a lot to me. It is fundamental to our way of living. I share Malalas visions, because of course all should have the right to education - including girls. It's fundamental human rights, which I support."

Mary has been out and about a lot lately. She and Frederik haven't had an event together for some weeks now. I hope we get to see them together soon.

F&M has held a one-week autumn holiday the last week without official events. You will find the next joint event this week + you will get the pleasure of seeing the children too :)

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #44, 2015.
Written by the Ulrik Ulriksen.
A while ago Mary went to see the premiere of a documentary called: He Named Me Malala, about Malala who as you know was shot by the Taliban.
Mary said: I and Malala share the vision. We want a peaceful world and of course all should have a right to go to school. It's about basic human rights, which I support. I admire".
After saying this Mary posed for a photo with a couple of royal fans, before going inside.
Malala truly is an admirable girl, but she's only eighteen and sometimes acts just like other eighteen year olds worldwide, as this little story by the Danish jounalist Kim Bildsøe Lassen show. He interviewed her recently: "She's a serious young woman who with her family live a special life". She is however also a big fan of the tennis player, Roger Federer. "And it's not just because of his tennis-skills that Malala follow him closely. She couldn't help giggling shyly when she told Kim Bildsøe that she is crazy about Federer's waving hairstyle"

Today, Crown Princess Mary (and Ziggy) was presented at the commencement of Plant a Tree campaign "Replant the planet". At the Nature Centre, Albertslund:
A nice and big gallery:

And look who Mary brought with her on her official event... Ziggy

It's Frederik is the patron, but as he is on working visit to South Africa these days, Mary replaced him to the event today.

Video, gallery and article:

"With big smiles and a little bit sweat Mary got the tree down in the ground.
Within the royal gardening Mary had been around visiting the the workshops were schoolchildren from Albertslund and Glostrup were working. Here was made charcoal, apples were pressed to apple juice, relaxed around the bonfires and much more.
Mary was very interested and asked curiously into more of the working children.
"She praised us! She thought we were good at chopping wood!" said two proudly boys after the royal visit.
The purpose of "replant the planet" is to give children the opportunity to act actively to climate change - and learn what forest and wood does for the climate."

 Thanks, Roskilde.
Nice little touch involving the seventh family member.
A good way of walking the dog, and presenting a casual image, while at the same time it's a good way to interact with people. (Not she really needs it, but still).
Everybody who has a dog know how easy it is to chat with strangers when you walk the dog. (Or the other way around as is often seen...)
Nice clip but I don't think Mary is doing much gardening at home. She has many talents, but using a spade isn't at the forefront.
On a more serious note: It has for years been the plan of the Parliament and thus various governments to ensure that some 25 % of Denmark should eventually be wood or forest. At present 11 % of DK is considered wood or forest. Plus additional considerable areas consisting of semi-woodland, plantations (mainly fir), groves and minor lakes surrounded by trees.
That's from an all time low in the mid 1600's when only 4 % of DK consisted of forest and woodland.
And in this climate it typically takes two generations for an area newly planted with trees to have evolved into a forest. - Not wood, forest.
