Thanks, Roskilde
And we have an article from one of the local papers, complete with a gallery: Kronprinsessen i Holstebro | Skive Folkeblad Online
Mary blev mødt med taktfaste råb | Skive Folkeblad Online
Mary was met by the children who chanted: "Mary, Mary, Mary....".
Some of the more enthusiastic people to greet her, were some mentally hendicapped teens from a nearby institution. - One of them hugged Mary as you can see in one of the galleries.
As you can tell camera crews from DR1 and TV2 regional news (TV Midt vest) were out in force as well).
And a gallery from the paper in Holstebro. The pictures are as far as I can tell the same as those Roskilde posted, but keep an eye out anyway, more pics may be added: GALLERI: Kronprinsessen i Holstebro | dagbladet-holstebro-struer.dk 42 pics, and counting.
As you can tell autumn is knocking on the door after a long balmy summer.

An a short article from BB: Kronprinsesse Marys søde hoppedans med børnene - Billed Bladet
Here Mary along with the dignitaries and not least the children is performing the "hop up and down dance".
Mary presented the kindergarten to a box, the rumble box, which contains good ideas for a healthier living.
The purpose is to ingrain good habits into the children at as young an age as possible. Thereby preventing poor health and not least heart deseases later on in life. - From the point of the society there is good money in keeping the population as healthy as possible, so this is an initiative which have a very broad political backing as well.

B.T. is ready with a article about the shy little flower girl: "Wee, now Mary comes..."
Betuttet blomsterpige klarede opgaven: Iiiih, nu kommer Mary - Royale | www.bt.dk
And with a new gallery, which includes pictures of Mary's next event after her visit in the kindergarten, her visit to Holstebro Music Theatre, where she hands out The Children Heart Foundation research grants.
Gallery: "Mary received lots of hugs in Holstebro"

Holstebro's mayor, Hans Christian Østerby who accompanied Mary around in Holstebro writes on his Facebook: " What a warmth and personality that HRH Crown Princess Mary radiates, not least in relation to the many cute children. Thanks for the visit which really threw luster to the event :-)"

A very important issue. to start with kids with good healthy habits and to keep them active in sports or other activities.
There are so many kids who are barely 5 or 6 but are already very overweight and can barely cross the street without losing their breath.

Here is a short video from TV2 Midt Vest: VIDEO: Se Kronprinsessen "plukke æbler" | TV/MIDT-VEST
Showing Mary and the other adults hopping and "picking apples". - All to get the pulse up. Good for the heart.
Mary being measured at the H C Andsersen hospital and you can read the numbers on the tape: https://app.box.com/s/ev9dd978o0123izp6sxq
Additionals details from an article in Billed Bladet #40, 2013.
Of Mary visit to H.C. Andersen Hospital.
Written by Ken Richter.
As you know Mary had her waist measured, the idea is that women's waist preferably shouldn't exceed 80 cm. - I don't quite understand that one. There are so many factors in regards to the health and shape of women.
Anyway, there is a large picture in the article of Mary being measured and I can actually see the numbers on the measureing tape.
Mary's waist is, considering she was measured outside her clothes and that the tape is not tight, 70 cm exactly. Or some 27 inches.

Yes, and they cost a fortune in medical care later on in life.
I think Mary must have caught a helicopter back to Copenhagen in order to be there for the event at 19.00.
So a lunch in Holstebro, then a lift to the nearby helicopter base at Karup and she would be back in Copenhagen by 15.30 or so.
Otherwise it would be a four hours drive (non-stop) to Copenhagen. Hardly having time for a change of clothes and some food before it was out the door again.
Even going by ferry would at best cut off an hour.

Clip from the evening news: NET-TV på tvmidtvest.dk
At 01:10: Mary is asked about health at home: "We have lot of focus on health at home. It's important for us to eat healthy and to exercise and to use one's body."
At 01.24: Teen girls: "We heard "Mary is coming.." so we hurried out..."
At 01.27: Woman about Mary: "She is a woman who dares to do many things and she is doing a great job. One we can be proud of in the royal family.

The pictures of Mary with children are so lovely. She strikes me as someone who is able to relate to children, and acts very natural with them.

Here is a BT gallery of Mary at the Danish Design Talent award 2013, which took place yesterday evening at 19.00.
Se alle billederne: Mary morede sig med modefolket | www.bt.dk
As you can tell she did make it back for a change of clothes. (Only two pics of Mary).

I find this very interesting and pretty significant.
Mary will take part in a meeting at the Parliament (Christiansborg) H.K.H. Kronprinsessen deltager i møde på Christiansborg kl. 9.30. - Kongehuset
Thursday forenoon.
This meeting is with a group of 36 MP's from all the eight parties in Parliament.
The group is called The Parliament's Bipartisan Network for Sexual Health and Rights. Among the members is Minister for Developement Christian Friis Bach with whom Mary has had a very fruitful co-operation.
The group work for promoting basic sexual rights for people. I.e. no force, no coercion, all sexual liasons should and must be voluntarily.
The right to decide over your own body.
The right to learn about, have access to and to use prevention.
Ensure healthy child births for all.
Combatting sexually transmitted desaeses, HIV and AIDS in particular.
Tværpolitisk Netværk for Seksuel Sundhed - Forside
The interesting thing to me is that Mary is openly listed as having a meeting and discussion with politicians. - Everybody knows that such meetings of course find place regularly. But I cannot recall a meeting like this where a member of the DRF who doesn't have a direct constitutional role, has an open discussion with members of the Parliament. - Normally, a briefing or debriefing takes place very discreetly or with members of the government, due to the very strict political neutrality of the DRF.
As I interprete this, this a pretty big pad on the back for Mary and also that she has the confidence of the politicians across the political spectrum and that they see her as a very important tool in this respect. This is also a very clear indication indeed that she has the full political backing to what she is doing.
I predict Mary's role within this field will grow.
I also predict Mary will at some point act at Rigsforstander, not may, will. Something only Queen Ingrid did and Prince Henrik never has, nor will he.
I'd say in five to ten years from now, depending on how frail QMII will become. Then it may be sooner.

The first meeting (that we know of) with the 'Parliamentary interpolitical group for Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights' took place in May, at Amalienborg.
It would be interesting to know, if the three members of the commun.... Enhedslisten take part in this meeting... I'm pretty sure, that they weren't at Amalienborg...

Thanks.
But it doesn't make it less significant in my eyes.
As far as I know, PH has never had such meetings, Alexandra neither, our Marie is too junior and unlikely to attend such meeting on that level giving her lesser royal pondus.
And it wasn't tradition back in Queen Ingrid's time for DRF members to take on more or less political roles.

Great to see that CP Mary takes part in such important meetings,it is good that she supports important causes and is actively involved in political issues. I always thought she is highly intelligent and capable, so I am not surprised that she is also accepted & respected by politicians and members of the government.
