You're welcome KikkiB. Page one works for me when I click on the link, but ImageShack does have a tendancy to not show things at certain times, so try again and if it doesn't work, just tell me and I'll repost the link

Mary writes with her right hand. There are photos, specifically her first official trip back to Australia, were she signed her name in a guestbook with her, surprise, right hand.

Just a side tip: You can usually tell what hand someone writes with by noticing what wrist they wear a watch on. Right-handed people will often wear a watch on their left wrist, left-handed people vice-versa.

I uploaded a video clip that I found at the CPMMB about Mary at Red Barnet's anti-bullying launch of the Better Buddies program (where Mary wore the beautiful red coat). It goes for just under 30 seconds, but you can download the file to your computer: MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

It seems to me that allowing the press to photograph you if you're a royal is a pretty common thing. As Userdane has already pointed out Mary and Frederik aren't the only ones who have done it.

I think allow the press to take photos is a loving and kind way to create affinity with the public in general and with the Danish people in particular! They are Royal Family supported in one way by Danish taxes so they have a commitment with Danish people and I think is their way to say thanks and to be near them! I really don't want to compare but for example Princess Letizia and Filipe doesn't show too mucht unless if there have a Public event and that leed sometimes to some gossips, intrigues and that doesn't seam to happen with this royal Danish couple!

I also can not understand how she does it! She does not even look like she is going to have a baby in just a few months. I wish I could have looked that great with my three.

According to this press release from the Municipality of Århus (in Danish), HRH The Crown Princess will pay a visit to Gellerup, an Århus equivalent to Odense’s Vollsmose, which Her Royal Highness visited in August 29, 2006, on March 6, 2007, at 11.00. Her Royal Highness will be able to get to know some of the neighbourhood’s residents and workers by the means of visiting local institutions, businesses and projects. In the press release, The Mayor of Århus, Mr. Nicolai Wammen, issues the following statement (my translation): “Gellerup is a very exiting residential area, where many positive things are happening, things that deserve attention and encouragement. Therefore, it is an immense joy that The Crown Princess has wished to closely experience everyday life in the area. Her visit is a lovely pat on the back for the positive efforts made in the area”.

I recently found this clip of Princess Mary talking about proper childhood nutrition - she really has a lovely voice and is so confident speaking in front of a camera.

Thank you for posting that, it was very interesting to watch. I've noticed that when she speaks English, her voice is taking on enough of a lilt, that she sounds like a native Danish speaker speaking English, as opposed to a native English speaker speaking English.

I've heard that too! Quite facinating, from a linguistic point of view! One should think that the mother tongue was so stuck that no other language would interfere. But I think it might have something to do with Danish being a glottal language with "soft" consonants, which seem to make the combination of Danish and English hard.
Though, the Queen speaks very good BBC English, so it is possible to combine the two languages. CP Frederiks English is also flavoured by the Danish language, while his brother speaks English with little/no Danish flavour. I guess that is due to the years with Alex. My reference to say this is the Danish tv-series En Kongelig Familie - which just re-ran on NRK - where they speak about Christian 9. and his decendants, and also my qualifications as an English teacher.

I think the lilt is the remnants of her Scottish accent; nothing to do Danish. Will Scottish members of this forum please confirm if I´m right or wrong?
