:previous: the DRF court :bang: again failing to update and properly include Frederik in these type of events. He has been regent from August 22 until September 3rd, of course he alone held the audience today.

well at least we got on article and pictures of the participants ;)
"It was Crown Prince Frederik, who welcomed people who today came in audience to thank for orders and medals "

:previous: and now we know she was in Greece as well :flowers:

Frederik tomorrow, September 2, will participate as guest of honor and is responsible for the inauguration of Frederiksberg's new cultural and movement house KU.BE

"A combination of cultural events, physical activity and different user creates joy and forms KU.BE. In short: The activities created by you and other users who are inspired and create new opportunities that we did not get. Culture and movement house in Frederiksberg"

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #35, 2016.
Written by our man on the course, the Ken Richter.

Having more or less just returned from Rio, Frederik went to Northern Jutland to take part in celebrity-part of the golf-tournament Made in Denmark for which Frederik is patron.
The primus motor behind the tournament is the owner of the discount bedlinen-chain Jysk, Lars Larsen. In DK better known as Duvet-Larsen.

Frederik actually did pretty good, despite: "Some of my play suffered from jet-lag".
It's the third time starts this tournament and he'll be happy to show up again.

Thanks for the pics, Polyesco. Frederik's suit is well tailored and well fitted, for a change. Usually the jackets are too tight and the pants too long. The pants are still a little long, but the jacket fits beautifully. Maybe he's been going to Joachim's tailor. ;)

:previous: yes a suit that stands out and his charming smile ;)

delighted to see new centre in Frederiksberg; when I visited CPH 2 years ago I spend a week on Finsenvej thanks to AIR BandB so I know the area fairly well. I rented a bike as the University of Copenhagen is quite close, so that I am certain this new facility will be well used. Bravo:flowers:

I hope he hasn't...;) Most of the time, Joachim looks like he stepped out from the 1930's. His suits and jackets look so very big.

In general, Frederik dresses much more contemporary.
The "too tight" looking jackets and slim pants have been around for the some years now in the shops and magazines.

He was indeed a very popular man.

The article, that is written in Ulrik Ulriksen's usual flowery style, says people applauded when he arrived and that he was the last to give a speech. The first speeches were from a manuscript and pretty dry (read: boring) while Frederik improvised a few words and as such talked straight to the audience - rather than giving a speech. That was very appreciated, our reporter reports.

Crown Prince Frederik attended an event marking the 50th anniversary of the first Danish oil discovery in the North Sea at the Fisheries and Maritime Museum in Esbjerg today, September 8. During the event he opened the exhibition "Energy from the sea - Danish offshore in the North Sea".

Thanks, Iceflower. :flowers:

The town of Esbjerg is the main hub in the DK offshore industry and service. - Both in regards to oil and gas as well as windmill-parks.

thanks for the link and information, yes from the articles we can see his agenda for today had a number of events

Frederik has very much focused on the energy sector within the Danish economy.
At present DK is totally self-reliant on energy and has been for at least 20 years. In fact we export energy to mainly Sweden and Germany.

Thanks for the many nice pictures from Frederik's many events in Esbjerg today :flowers:

The newspaper JV.dk have had a very big covering of Frederik's day in Esbjerg.

Among this nice little article:
Da kronprinsen ankom for tidligt til Blue Water | Esbjerg | jv.dk

When Crown Prince Frederik arrived to visit the Blue Water Shipping's headquarters at the harbour Frederik arrived in good time.

So suddenly Frederik and his PET's arrived to the entrance outside without the planned welcome comite with the Blue Water-founder, Kurt Skov. He was still at his office on the third floor.

- So I had to tell the Crown Prince that this is how it works here in Esbjerg. You are busy with work and do business, says Kurt in his usual humorous hopla spirit and adding:

- Well, we may just turn the situation into something fun.

And down-to-earth Frederik also laughed at the situation:

- I just wanted to test the preparedness, he laughing noted.

:previous: It's not many months ago the exactly same things happened to Mary - she also just walked to open the doors and walk in herself - but she met her welcome comite in the door opening

 Yes, it must often be a problem judging the traffic. And if the reception committee don't answer the phone... The royals must have a good chuckle when that happens once in a while.

Crown Prince Frederik visit Semco

“It was a great honour to contribute to providing the Crown Prince with an introduction to our work and what we are concerned about. With more than 15,000 people employed directly in the industry and at least 20,000 related jobs, the oil and gas sector is of great importance to Danish society – and plays an enormous role in Region Southern Denmark. The Crown Prince’s visit contributes to underlining this, and his visit is thus not only important to us. It is also very important to a lot of people in our region,” said Steen Brødbæk after the visit." :flowers:

Future event for Frederik in September
Kronprins Frederik åbner ny motorvej | BILLED-BLADET

"Crown Prince Frederik cut the ribbon at Silkeborg, when the new highway will be inaugurated."
"- We are very proud and honored crown prince's commitment to open Silkeborg motorway. We have built a great highway that will be of great benefit to Silkeborg and mobility across Jutland and for the country, says Jens Holmboe from the Danish Road Directorate in a statement."

this event will take place this Sunday
"HRH The Crown Prince participates in the official opening of Silkeborg motorway"

more info
Hans Kongelige Højhed Kronprins Frederik åbner Silkeborgmotorvejen
The motorway's importance extends thus all the way across Jutland and will have a positive impact on the country.
"Director of Road Directorate, Jens Holmboe, welcomes Crown Prince's presence at the upcoming opening: "We are very proud and honored Crown Prince's commitment to open Silkeborg motorway. We have built a great highway that will be of great benefit to Silkeborg, mobility across Jutland and for the whole country. Along with Silkeborg Municipality and DGI, we have planned a party out of the ordinary and the Crown Prince's participation, so I am quite sure that Denmark's biggest block party is a party, the citizens of East Jutland will not forget, "

It looks like quite a few activities have been planned for this new opening
"During the three days 8 to 11 September, activities include concerts ... as well as organized walking and cycling race on the new motorway."

More from BB: Kronprins Frederik var til vejfest | BILLED-BLADET

This highway has been controversial because it was planned to go through one of the most scenic areas of DK, the lakes around the town of Silkeborg.
After many years of discussion and an intervention from the then PM, it was finally decided to let the highway go around the most scenic areas and today it was ready - under budget BTW!

So far, it had been a quiet week for Frederik and with Joachim being rigsforstander today, had me wondering.

Now we know Frederik had been visiting Danish troops in Mali
Kronprins Frederik på hemmeligt besøg hos danske soldater i Mali | BILLED-BLADET

"Crown Prince Frederik and Defence Minister Peter Christensen has secretly been visiting the Danish commandos in Mali.
...The Danish commandos are part of the UN peacekeeping forces.
105 UN soldiers have lost their lives in the struggle against Islamic terrorists, and although there is a total deployed 10,000 men, then it is not enough to ensure peace in the fragile country.
Crown Prince Frederik has previously visited Danish troops in Afghanistan"

video and article from DR
VIDEO Kronprinsen er på hemmeligt besøg hos danske jægersoldater på dødfarlig FN-mission | Nyheder | DR
Crown Prince is on a secret visit to the Danish commandos on dødfarlig UN mission
The mission in Mali is the most dangerous mission, the UN is doing.
"Here there was only an exercise. But usually it is in the degree of severity of the 24 special forces, who are the most dangerous UN mission in the world."

Frederik will be regent from the 24 til the 27th

Thanks, Polyesco. :flowers:

Yes, the UN mission in Mali is currently the most dangerous and that's saying a lot, considering there is also a UN contingent in Sudan!
The Danish special forces platoon is along with other special forces hopelessly undermanned and over-stretched and fighting at the very front. There are constant skirmishes with Al Queida mainly recruited from the Tuareg bedouin people.
(Oddly enough among the Tuaregs it has traditionally been men who covered up).

:previous: thank you for the extra info Muhler:flowers:
Impressive indeed. and its always great that Frederik visits the Danish troops wherever they may be stationed
