 It's banter.
I believe banter and the odd joke is essential in keeping a forum inviting and to maintain a civil tone between the members.
People who chuckle don't fight.

Forgive my utter ignorance, trampoline I understand - and I guess you can call it a sport.
But tumbling and DMT? What on earth is that?
And there is a team-finals for men in double-mini?!?
Are anyone outside Uggerbøl seniors and Plumwater United doing such activities?
We learned on the main news at 19.00 that Frederik is on the job tonight.
Today the boss for Tour de France visited Copenhagen to be presented for a Danish plan for the tour to start in Copenhagen at some point within the next few years.
As a part of that visit (and presentation) the tour-boss (can't remember his name off hand) has been invited to dinner tonight at Marienborg, the official residence of the PM. And at that dinner is also Frederik, who as we know has a big interest in sports.

Thanks Muhler,
I was just about to log in to post the same after watching the news tonight.
Again, I do not understand why it isn't written in the calendar.

Perhaps he was invited to add some extra weight to the arguments?

Thank you Grevinnan, that is very good to know as I like all women to participate in sports like their male counterparts do. I never heard of curling before, so this is new to me. Forgive my ignorance, it is good to learn something each day.

Good to read. And I do hope they put it on his calendar .
I remember a year ago, at a marathon that took place in Copenhagen the organizers thanked Frederik for his help in organizing and his role in getting Copenhagen to be the hosts.
It was the marathon where the previous Danish primer minister Helle, and Frederik started the race.

With more time I'll look for the article where they mention Frederik's work in bringing this race to Denmark . It's in a thread somewhere here
I'm sure he is very knowledgeable and it would be huge if the tour de France can start in Denmark
not surprised frederik is present, the sports people are highly happy with Frederik's support and work

DK has been trying for the start of Tour de France to start in Copenhagen in 2018.
That didn't quite succeed but the effort apparently made an impression. So perhaps 2020?
The plan seems to have three legs of the tour all over DK, before moving to France. That of course costs a lot of money, but also generate lots of money in return.
So a few days ago the tour-boss, Christian Prudhomme, went to DK and got the royal treatment - literally. Normally the DRF are not involved on this level, but Frederik is a sports enthusiasts and member of the IOC so he was brought in for a dinner in the evening in honor of Prudhomme.

DR video with Frederik being interviewed:

Q: What about your own children, do they have a trampoline in the backyard?
- They have the classic one, yes. They jump and come around and they actually goes a little to gymnastics. So it's very fun to watch.

As Frederik is Denmark's regent this week, he this morning held public audience at Christiansborg Palace at 10.00 am:
Offentlig audiens på Christiansborg Slot kl. 10.00 - Kongehuset
We never get pictures from these public audiences.

Very nice to hear about this. Frederik's work outside the official calendar.
Again hearing how he is involved from the beginning
"Crown Prince Frederik was present. Usually it is the case that the royal perhaps no one greets when the whole event takes place, but here it was all very early in the process, and it helped to emphasize the passion of it all,"

A recorded message?
That does indicate he and Mary are on their way to Australia.
Does anyone know how long it takes to fly to Australia? Including a stop for four more or less impatient children.

From Europe, it all depends which route they take. If they go via SE Asia, it's about 24-26 hours (that takes into account transit time).
Via the UAE (i.e. Dubai etc) will take a few hours off.

Yes and from their beautiful "map" room in their home.
When I saw that his dates as regent changed I suspected that he wouldn't attend opening day. Nice that he sent out a message
