The purpose of Frederik's visit was to promote a physically interactive movie-theater.
That is, that in order to keep the movie going or continue on whatever direction you think the movie should be going, you have to jump, run or do something else physically.
It's a kind of mix between a Wii-game, computer game and movie directed at children and to keep them active throughout the movie.
Here the movie character urges the children to help and keep moving. So that quickly amounts to say half an hour of physical activity for children - without them even noticing...

Thanks, Ricarda.
The note says the air force is practicing in France, due to the weather often being cloudy and foggy in DK at this time of year.
So I deduce it's tactical bombings and support they are practicing. Something the DK air force is, and has been doing a lot of in recent years!
Frederik is wearing air force rank stripes. - Thought any details with Frederik in uniform will interest some. Eh, Polyesco?

Frederik and Lars Ulrik from Metallica posing together: Under koncertbraget i Royal Arena: Kronprins Frederik møder Lars Ulrich | BT Musik - www.bt.dk
- Congrats with the new arena in Copenhagen, it was perhaps about time Copenhagen got a modern place for concerts and similar larger events.
There are however quite a few dry comments from the western part of Denmark...
Because the new Royal Arena has got massive media coverage and attention from the DRF as well, while similar arenas in Jutlandic towns like Horsens and Herning had to work hard for the successes they created - and with considerably less attention from in particular the Copenhagener press.
A typical example of the animosity that often arise between a capital and the parts of a country that is further away from the capital.
So while they cheer in Copenhagen, people are certainly in general less impressed over here in the west.

Back to the Experimentarium Frederik opened recently.
Summary of article in Billed Bladet #5, 2017.
Written by Marianne Singer.
The newly renovated Experimentarium has become even more family-friendly with a new kind of interactive movie, which means people have to be physically very active to influence the story in the movie.
After the opening Frederik was asked whether he believe his children will find it interesting: "I think it will be very well received. - Well, I haven't seen a single child (here) today. So it's the adult children who is allowed to take part in the opening and start using it. The next time we will have to sit on our hands and watch where our children rush to".
Shouldn't he have brought Christian?
"One might. Well, there weren't that many other children to play with, so we'll take that another time".
About the new attraction: "It's insanely good. It's something to be proud about. (*) You have to consider that it shall inspire the Denmark of the future and I hope there will be lots of future engineer-students who will begin here".
(*) A number of the attractions are world-first-timers.
