BB video from Frederiks's two events yesterday:
Kronprins Frederik sang for Tordenskiold| billedbladet.dk
**
Another thing. The royal court informs us the Crown Prince family on Sunday will attend the annual Hubertus Hunt. Although Frederik already the next morning will be in South Africa for his business promotion. I see the airplanes to Johannesburg depart from Copenhagen Airport in the evenings, which make that Frederik can reach the Hubertus Hunt with his family during the day. That means he and the Danish delegation lands in Johannesburg the next morning and go straight on with the visit. I always hope the royals are good at sleeping on airplanes

thanks for the video. Frederik in uniform in motion is even better
Looking forward to seeing the family on Sunday.
Hopefully Frederik gets a good sleep on the plane. He does tend to suffer a little bit from jet lag

After the conference, Frederik along with Mary were host to a dinner for the conference. Both looking wonderful

Thank Polyesco Finally we get a picture. It's from Saturday evening where the Crown Prince Couple hosted dinner at Christiansborg Palace. A handsome couple!
I can see there was only press access to a select number of few photographers, so I can imagine they have "saved their pictures" for their next editions of their magazines.

"The dinner marked the end of a three-day conference within the commission, and earlier in the day, Crown Prince Frederik had given a speech at the conference held at the Confederation of Danish Industry. The conference was about how to improve political and financial cooperation across the various regions of the world."
not really surprised but I thought the DRF website would have pictures of this event by now, but then again, they barely uploaded some videos from Frederik's South Africa working visit.

Nice pictures. Beautiful couple and surroundings.
I had thought we would have gotten more from the Crown Prince Couple being host at the dinner at Christiansborg too. But it doesn't surprise me since only a few number of photographers were invited to cover the dinner and it's so typically they 'save' the pictures to their upcoming magazines.

A special event next week for Frederik.
"HRH Crown Prince receives Wednesday, November 18, 2015 the first rice harvest since the earthquake in 2011 as a gift from the city of Higashi-Matsushim in Japan."
Gave fra byen Higashi-Matsushima i Japan - Kongehuset
"Japan was March 11, 2011 hit by an earthquake and shortly after a tsunami that claimed many lives and injuries, the Crown Prince visited shortly after the disaster stricken area around Higashi-Matsushima, and the Crown Prince's visit is still remembered by many Japanese with gratitude.
In gratitude have Higashi-Matsushima asked to present the Crown Prince the first rice harvested in Higashi-Matsushima since 11 March 2011."
what a special connection
as we know, Frederik was the first royal to visit
Kronprinsen på besøg i Japan - 14. juni - Kongehuset
and this has not been forgotten by Japan. Just this year on Frederik's and Mary's official visit to Japan, it was remembered and Frederik and Denmark were thanked again .
and article on this very special gesture to Frederik
"Rice from Japan's tsunami coast to Denmark's Crown Prince"
https://twitter.com/japanforkant/sta...72222951780353
Ris fra Japans tsunami-kyst til Danmarks kronprins – forkant.nu
"In this situation, it is a "valuable encouragement to local farmers", the Danish Crown Prince has accepted to receive a sack of rice to his household as a gift from the municipality, says Shinji Sato, head of the agriculture department at City Hall ."

more about the foundation
Anders Lassen Fonden
"Anders Lassen Foundation, which is under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and is named after the unique personality Major Anders Lassen, who made a formidable effort for Denmark during World War II."
Anders Lassen Foundation aims to:
• rewards significant military action
• to provide a financial contribution in recognition or encouragement to members or former members of the Special Forces or the Frogman Corps for a special effort or sådannes survivors and relatives
• to support and encourage injured Danish military personnel

I remember from 2008 Frederik's interaction with a young boy whose father was killed in action. really sweet

I guess from his uniform that he is a "skovfoged" i.e. the highest rank of the wardens who are in charge of a forest. In this case of course a large forest or several forests.
The ranks are: A "skovløber".
A "skovrider".
And finally a "skovfoged" (skov = forest/wood).
- I don't know what to translate it with.
A skovløber/skovrider/skovfoged is a manager of a wood or a forest of varying size. Both administratively, but also in regards to maintaining the forest and the wildlife there. That includes forestry. Being responsible for culling the animals or during icewinters to feed animals (so that they don't run out onto highways or into towns in desperate search for food). Being responsible for maintaining paths, benches and what not to ensure the forest is open to the public. Being responsible for protecting the environment and make sure rare animals can breed in peace, while also working closely together with botanists, biologists, ornithologists and hunters. And so on and so on. Not to mention the staff and machinery and sometimes going out to shoot sick or or wounded animals.
Nowadays it's a pretty comprehensive education.
The uniforms are modeled after the German equivalent.
