Thanks, Iceflower. :flowers:

The first picture in the gallery you posted, is not of Marselisborg Manor but of a nearby villa, locally known as mini-Marselisborg, because it is build in the same style as the manor. - But it is a good deal smaller and it's also closer to the beach.

Here is a gallery from BT: Se billederne: Kronprinsen omgivet af dobbeltgænger, nøgen mand og bikini-piger | www.bt.dk

Two girls tanning themselves at the beach were completely undisturbed be the crowd passing by.
The young naked man was a part of an artwork by Nina Saunders, who explains: "The bridge represents a dreamy state of mind, something real and unattainable and by coating it with gold (the bridge not the behind) it becomes more and something other that a bathing-bridge.
It's important that it's a younger man who is on the bridge, because he symbolizes how difficult it is for many young to get a job, the unattaineble again". (- Well, wouldn't you know... If she hadn't said so, that idea might have not have entered my mind...).

Frederik is very interest in art and he said: "All the works are exciting. For example a floating sauna. That's a stroke of genius. It's supposed to start the imagination. That's the most important thing".

Se billederne: Kronprinsen omgivet af dobbeltgænger, nøgen mand og bikini-piger | www.bt.dk
Frederik and the crowd walked the entire length of the exhibition, which streches for several kilometres along the coast and towards the end, the beach get quite narrow, hence the reason why they are climbing over the wave-breakers.

Se billederne: Kronprinsen omgivet af dobbeltgænger, nøgen mand og bikini-piger | www.bt.dk
Frederik started the exhibition by launching 64 red baloons and saying: "I was in no doubt at all that Sculpture by the Sea had to go to Aarhus. I know the area well, so I know that nature he is fantastic for it".
- And he is very much right. the combination of beach, sea, forest and city makes the coast among the most beautiful in DK.

The two previous exhibitions have been a tremendous succes! We are talking in the order of 600.000 people or so going to see the exhibition.
Quite a number are Germans and Swedes as well.
That's the equivalent of more than two million Australians going to see the exhibition at Sydney.
Mrs. Muhler and I certainly intend to go this year as well.

A video from TV2 of Frederik opening the exhibition: http://www.tv2oj.dk/artikel/167147:Aarhus--VIDEO--Frederik-klippede-snoren

http://www.tv2oj.dk/artikel/167174:Aarhus--Frederik--Kom-herned Another video of Frederik encouraging people to visit the exhibition. Unfortunately he and Mary will be very busy the next month, so he wouldn't promise he and Mary would come. - Says the text, because there appears to be no sound...

ADDED AGAIN: More on the naked man from BT: http://www.bt.dk/royale/derfor-smed-han-toejet-foran-kronprins-frederik
As part of the artwork he will jump in the water every Sunday, with his feet covered in gold paint. - Yees, that sure is something to look forward to...
A little warning: One of the pics show full frontal nudity.

very nice and good photos of frederik and i will definitely go see the sculpture by the sea too :) i know mary was still on the way home from malaysia on that time but i do missed seeing her to the opening. it is always special to see those two open this exhibitions together <3

Thanks, Polyesco. :)

Yes, DK is really rolling out the red carpet for this man!

Yu Zhengsheng is the fourth most powerful man in China and we are talking very, very serious export-orders!
Which is why Frederik as well as the Chairman of the Parliament, Mogens Løkketoft, are there to greet him.
Being Chairman of the Parliament is the highest post a Dane can reach without marrying into the DRF.

I have seen that several people has written here on TRF that they think Frederik appears more toned and slim than before. Muhler wrote that his guess was that Frederik is training for something.

And Muhler, I think you got it right ... This weekend, from Saturday to Sunday, Frederik will participate in a 24 hours continuously mountain bike race in Rude forest.:notworthy:

Brief Summary of article in Billed Bladet #24, 2013.
Bare Mary når det - In the hope Mary will have time for it.
Written by Ken Richter.

As you already know Frederik opened the exhibition Sculpture by the Sea. Frederik hoped he and Mary would find time to see the exhibition together. He said about the location along Aarhus Bay: "That the exhibition came to Aarhus is not the result of some random throw of the dice. It's because I know the area and has been influenced/shaped by the city and the nature around it. The forest blend in with the sea and I'm glad I got the idea massaged into the head of the manager of the art museum Aros, Jens Erik Sørensen".

QMII has visited the two previous exhibition incognito and she said to Aarhus Stiftstidende, local newspaper: "The exhibition has an enormous backing in the city and that pleases me so. I think it's really amusing (*) that people in Aarhus has really embrased the idea and been pleased with it".

In fact Mrs. Muhler and I saw the exhibition Tuesday late afternoon, without spotting neither Mary nor QMII, alas. It's quite a decent stroll some five kilometres altogether along the beach and back through the forest. https://www.box.com/shared/3cuj407469
We also went to see the exhibited scultures and other ideas at Hotel Marselis - it's free... and that is very recommended for an alternative view of the sculptures.
We both agreed that the last exhibition appealed more to us. We both liked a sculture called Snake, basically a large weathervane, which really deserves a place along the coast.http://www.dr.dk/NR/rdonlyres/1215F...54/ff6977e7c2b04d53a185265fac5faa90_sbs9.jpeg
I was drooling over a fence made from driftwood, while Mrs. Muhler fell in love with a sculpture called Bubble, no 5 - alas, there wasn't room in the trunk.http://insightoutmagazine.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/img_2368.jpg?w=470&h=352
We both hoped they would keep the Forest Organ, basically pipes attached to treetrunks emitting a sound when the wind passed through, it was both eerie and soothing to listen to at the same time. http://sorenlyngso.dk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/skovorgel.jpg

(*) Morsomt = amusing. QMII's favorite expression.
Mary's favorite expression is: fantastisk.

You are welcome, Polyesco. :)

He's not alone and should an Australian or two who have seen the exhibitions in Sydney drop by and have a look, they will hopefully enjoy the setting the artworks are presented in in Aarhus. - And after the strenous stroll they can walk to the nearby Marselisborg Marina and enjoy a cool beer.

its now on the official DRF website
H.K.H. Kronprinsen deltager i Nordic 24 Mountainbike løb kl 12.00. - Kongehuset

good luck to him. lovely that he participates in these type of things

While I think it is wonderful that they ride bikes instead of walk ordrive, the fact that they don't wear helmets, as they do when they ski, is troubling. They present a good example to all, why not with helmets, as they do with skiing?

This is weird! I thought Frederik took part in a continous 24 hour mountainbike race, but Jyske Vestkysten writes that is has now been announced that Frederik takes part in Jels Triathlon, also know as Royal Oak Triathlon: jv.dk - Nyheder - Vejen - HKH Kronprins Frederik deltager i Jels-triathlon lige nu
(This link is continously updated and you will now find several pics of Frederik).

Jels, where this is taking place is located in Southern Jutland.

The organisers say that for safety reasons Frederik's participation has not been made public until today. - So the mountain bike thing was a decoy?

Anyway, he and 300 others started at 10.00. 1½ hour ago.
They start out by swimming 2 kilometres, then 88 KM on bike, before they end with a 21 KM run.

Niels Rasmussen from Jels Triatlon says: "We are immensely proud that Crown Prince Frederik has chosen to take part in our Triathlon. The DRF has asked Danish Trithlon Association which triathlon Crown Prince Frederik could take part and they referred to us. We are very proud of that".

--

Interesting! I'll have some more look around...

ADDED: There is no confirmation on the DRF site. The mountainbike race should end in fifteen minutes, as this is written.
If this is confirmed, and I think it will, then half the Danish presscorps is looking for Frederik some 250 KM away...

ANOTHER CONFIRMATION: TV2, regional TV Syd, also writes that Frederik is taking part in the half ironman right now. http://www.tvsyd.dk/artikel/203359:Kronprinsen-til-halv-ironman-i-Jels. The first over the fnishing line is expected around 14.00 - in little more than two hours from now. Frederik they expect will finnish between 14.30-15.30.

VISUAL CONFIRMATION: Here is Frederik: http://www.jv.dk/artikel/1582053:Ve...rik-deltager-i-Jels-triathlon-lige-nu?image=3

How awesome is that!

congrats to Frederik and the other participants

Wowsers!

Way to make all the other CPs look like softies....

And we have the results: Styrt, medalje og halv ironman: Her er konge-familiens yderst aktive weekend - Royale | www.bt.dk

Frederik completed the 2 KM swim, 88 KM on bike and 21 KM on the feet in 5 hours 1 minute and 10 secs landing him in place #47, out of 285.

Yesterday he completed 15 KM on bike through terrain in 51 minutes.

A big pic: http://www.bt.dk/sites/default/files-dk/node-images/522/6/6522429-.jpg

He was also on the news tonight at 19.00 on TV2, just as he crossed the finishing line - (in contrast to so many professional athletes who seem to be out of breath when giving interviews hours later!) Frederik was actually able to say a few words on the spot and only being slightly out of breath.

He said in a long interview to Jyske Vestkysten, that he had time to enjoy the scenery - only because the headwind was so heavy, that slowed him down and while having to tread harder, he admired the landscape...
He also said that he may go through another half ironman next year.
The reason why he chose to go here at Jels, was simply because of his schedule.

Huge respect to Frederik! :notworthy: This requires a lot of training, willpower and good condition. Not to forget his mountain bike race yesterday. He's a cool man!

I guess Mary and the children have got a pretty tired husband/daddy home this evening ;)

And picture and article from Billedbladet
Kronprins Frederiks weekend var fuld af udfordringer

OMG..So fit and energetic..Can The Crown Princess handle him alone..all the time..
Or need any help?;)

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #25, 2013.
Kronprins med kræfter - Crown Prince with strength.
Written by our sports-reporter Malan Vincent Joensen.

As you know Frederik was on the legs most of the weekend. Taking part in the Specialized Nordic24 run on Saturday, where he was a part of a six man team called The Lefties, after a part on a cycle called a lefty.
Frederik went as number two in the team and completed his fifteen KM course in very decent 51 minutes.
Before starting he said: "I signed up this year because it's a good race". He would have liked to have taken part in the race last year, but: "A Chinese statevisit dropped by and then the race had to yield".
About the race he said: "It's good, it's healthy, it's fun and it's cool".

When Frederik had finished, there was a minor congestion and that's why he fell with his bike in front of the cameras.

But the very next day it was off to Jutland, where Frederik took part in a half ironman, starting at 10.00. Here he finished at place 47 out of 285, in the time 5 hours, 1 minute and 10 seconds. He said afterwards: "It's been a huge experience for me. I'm pretty pleased with the result I got today. My goal had been to get to the finishing line and complete it.
During training I could tell that things had to go very wrong if I shouldn't be able to finish about this time.
The biggest opponent today, was definitely the headwind on the bicycle ride. But it's been a huge experience and I think it's a very beautiful area".
Frederik has been training through the winter and spring.

I'm amazed to learn that several members, who are otherwise very keen to study pics of Frederik - (Polyesco among others spring to mind...) neverheless failed to notice that Frederik on Sunday wore his monogramme on the sleeves while cycling. Complete with crown and all.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #25, 2013.
Mine børn skal være aktive - My children must be active.
Written by Karina Didriksen.

Frederik started the School-Olympics at Østerbro Stadium in Copenhagen, where 2.000 fourth graders from all over DK competed.
Frederik said when he opened the whole show: "I can look forward to having a really fun time. You must cheer the runners and you must cultivate friendships with the pupils from the other schools. That's what the Olympics is all about - friendship and respect".

To our reporter Frederik said: "It's good to be active and it's proven physiological and socially that you benefit a lot from physical activity.
Obviously it's easier for my wife (formal word) and I because we are both active and spend a lot of time training and being outside.
We of course encourage our children to be active without pacing them, but on the other hand they often see Mary and I put on the running clothes and that we can tell stirs something in them, somehow. That'll pay off alright in a few years, so that they themselves feel like running along".

Frederik strolled around and looked at the various activities surrounded by a possey of fourth graders.
