The problem with Frederick's outfit choices is that it takes attention away from what he is doing. I read the caption then saw the pants and forgot about where he was and had to look back. Just a reminder, he was at the 150th Sailor's Association with an awful PLUM colored suit! Oh Mary, have some sympathy on us and check you husband BEFORE he leaves the house!

Last night prince Frederik was in Stockholm and attended a bacholors party for one of his friends. They went to the hot club Plaza in central Stockholm.
Price Frederik wont be in Stockholm next weekend when the swedish king celebrates his 60th birthday
- Im sorry I cant be there, says Frederik.
Does the prince enjoy Stockholm?
- I´m always having a good time here and I have some very good friends here
Why is the prince in Stockholm this weekend and not the next one when the King celebrates his birthday?
- I dont want to talk about it just like that... I´m sorry I cant be here next weekend, but I dont want to talk about why. Thats...
Private?
- Exactly
The prince and his friend ate chicken, steak and french fries and drank red wine and a bottle of champagne.
At 11 the prince and his friends left the restaurant and went to the Plaza club. There the party went on until early morning.

Do you know by chance if the Donaldsons have a tartan of their own or do belong to another clan? Would that give Prince Frederick as the husband of a Donaldson the right to wear "her" tartan? And does he have as a descendent of the Stuarts a right to wear the Royal Steward tartan?

As MacDonald means son of Donald, Donaldson is the english version of MacDonald. Donaldson doesn't have it's own tartan as such but the bearesr of the name would be able to trace themselves back to the appropriate MacDonald clan and wear that tartan. :)

Frederick has such a "boyish" look about him. He looks much younger than he is... only the slightly greying gives away his age.

He seems like a very nice and approachable prince. He's got a very pleasant, happy look about him. The photos here are great. Does anyone know if he and princess Mary are headed to Australia soon? Will they stop by Singapore? Has he ever been to Singapore? Frederik and Mary are my favourite royal couple. Hope to get a chance to meet them soon.

Definitely. He always did; even when they were boys and went to the same schools, Joachim always had a much older look.
Personally, I always had the impression that it was partly because Joachim took himself and his position a bit more 'seriously' than Frederik. Frederik is reputed to very approachable and not stand too much on formality.

Yes, you can tell just by looking at them. Frederik looks like the sort you could joke with whereas Joachim looks a bit aloof. Have you met them?

No, unfortunately I haven't met him. Just heard that he is nice to be around, from a radio DJ/musician, Alex Nyborg Madsen, amongst others who some years ago did a music broadcast with Frederik. Think Frederik almost turned Nyborg Madsen into a royalist  . As to Joachim, what I have heard about him - and what is sometimes written between the lines in the media - is what H.M. Margrethe says. Nobody can fault his dedication, but he does appear 'self-conscious'.
