Upcoming new portrait of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary
Quote:
12 May
HRH The Crown Prince participates in opening of the exhibition by Mario Testino.
|
Billed Bladet:
"Princess Diana's photographer exhibits new portrait of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary.
Crown Prince Frederik can in Testinos Copenhagen exhibition be especially pleased to see a brand new and never before published portrait of himself and his wife, Crown Princess Mary.
The Danish Crown Prince couple knows Testino quite well and has a few years ago had the photographer for a special dinner at home in Frederik VIII's Palace. It was a dinner with several profiles from the Danish and international fashion world."
The dinner mentioned is probably the dinner they hosted in connection with Copenhagen Fashion Summit a couple of years ago.

As you may know Crown Princess Mary and Denmark will be host for the world's largest women's conference 'Women Deliver' in Copenhagen next week. Crown Princess Mary has been with from the very early beginning... She is deeply involved. She is host and patron. And it's perhaps one of her biggest tasks!
I am therefore very delighthed (but not at all surprised) to see in the DRF royal calendar that Frederik will accompany Mary when she officially opens 'The Women Deliver' conference on Monday.

The member Kita wrote this a year ago which I remember I thought was quite nice formulated:
"(...)I tried to see Frederik and Mary while they were here, but just couldn't make it because I wasn't feeling well. So bummed about that. I just love them. They seem so down to earth and they're one of those couples that I genuinely believe would be together even if they were just normal citizens."

This is very exciting news and it would be nice to see a new portrait of the couple.

A BB video from tonight: VIDEO: Kronprinsesse Mary og kronprins Frederik holdt modemiddag hjemme i palæet | BILLED-BLADET
M&F hosted a dinner at Amalienborg for people behind the Copenhagen Fashion Summit.
The man they are seen posing with is Foreign Minister Kristian Jensen. I'm not sure who the woman is.
The topic for Copenhagen Fashion Summit is sustainable fashion. It's a sad fact that production of clothes and other fashion items pollutes and has a low recycle-rate.

more information about the President of Honduras being there (and more pictures)
"Prince Frederik is leading Danish business missions to the world, while Princess Mary is the developer of the Danish fashion also globally, so the Textile Summit is held every two years in Copenhagen.
Ambassador of Honduras to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union (EU), Roberto Ochoa Madrid, said the presence of President Hernandez is very important because it is the first time a Honduran president visit this European country, which is the fourth economic power of the European Union.
"This visit is of two important milestones, considering that Denmark is a nation positioned in a high ranking in the international community, is the fourth economic power in the European Union, its agricultural products circulate throughout the world and the textile industry is the fourth area most important of the country, "said Honduran diplomat."

well, that dress surely proved popular amongst the scandinavian princesses! :)
sustainable fashion is an interesting topic, it's nice that there is ongoing interest by the international community.
i see that mario testino attended - i can predict the future and guess that we will soon see a new portrait by him of FM :)

Another un-official event for Frederik & Mary - 12th May (I wonder how many they have?)
"Thursday, May 12, 2016 the Crown Prince Couple hosted a dinner for international gallery owners from "Art Basel" in Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg.
Prior to the dinner HRH The Crown Prince showed the guests around and talked about the works of art in the palace. In the picture the Crown Prince tells of artist Kasper Bonnén decoration of the dining room. The Crown Princess was present"

They received a dining table as a wedding gift from either City Hall or Parliament. I wonder if this is the one.

This is a different table. The one received as a wedding gift from the Parliament was a brown colour.

Thanks Nordic. I guess they may have used the Parliament table at their home at Fredensborg.
