I stopped watching the show after the first part. It was, as Roskilde says, a bizarre and embarrasing show. I´m sure I at one point saw CPss Mary just sitting watching not knowing how to react, but she wasn´t pleased... (it was under the scene described by Roskilde)

TV shows need to appreciate that we invite them into our lounge rooms. Our Grandmothers maybe in our lounge rooms. Our children may be up. And if we don't like what they put on then we change channels or turn it off.

On Saturday, Crown Prince Couple attends special performance and dinner on the occasion of Hempel's 100th anniversary. Opera, Copenhagen, at. 16.20.
More on the Hempel 100th anniversary which i thought was fascinating and very informative

Wow!!! Mary looked great.
I thought at first I was viewing the picture thread and thought I haven't seen these pictures before and I was reading the captions wrong.

Frederik and Mary were seen by the locals walking home hand in hand around midnight after their event in the Opera. It was a so-called tropical night - about 25 degrees - and they decided to stroll home in the nice wheather.

That is lovely to read, and that they can do so without a care....probably discussing his race earlier and enjoying the moment

I'm not sure how things are in Denmark....does the royal family go around without any protection officers and do people pretty much leave them alone when they are on their own time doing family things?

They have PET officers following them most places, albeit in the background, but also on their vacations. Generally, I'd say that Danes are very good at just smiling and nodding at them and then let them have their off-camera time for themselves – and they're always good at smiling back. At least that's my experience from both Copenhagen and Tisvildeleje. I also think that that says a lot about the respect Danes have for the royal family – that they're allowed to just walk and bike down the street without being hounded by photographers and curious plebs
