Personally, I wish I looked as good and had half her energy when I was pregnant. I've only had one child b/c my pregnancy was hard. Mary is on number 3 and 4. That tells me she is good at it! :)

I agree with you, before the 3erd month I have the placenta detach, they toldme I would miscarage but I wanted so much this babyy that i haf the rest in bed rest until birth, that was my case but I remeber one girl in the show, i mean the ice show, she was skating until her 7 month in the show even running for the wheel, if you know what it is running for the wheel, itis a really hard work and she was the last one, everybody is different, I had one pregnancy, I still waiting for another miracle and may be like Mary my farfar was a twin, when I see Marry going down in her knees to talk with Chriistian I am impress I can hardle put my socks at that stage of pregnancy much les go down on the knees, I admire her and I think she is lucky to be able to continuos like that!, if she got pregnanat naturaly of with assistan , does not matter she still very activ! good for her![/QUOTE]

Yes she is in Denmark. However she was born in Hobart, Tasmania. She is Danish by marriage. Danish is her second language, English being her first. Just because it might be the one she uses most often, does not make it her first.
Why strictly Danish mothers? Do danish mothers know better about raising twins than British mother or Australian mothers?

I think the point is that because Mary is a Danish Princess who currently resides in Denmark, she might be able to get points on how to raise twins from other Danish mothers. One assumes that British, Australian mothers who have twins can also give Mary pointers but because she is in Denmark she might have a better chance of running into Danish mothers moreso than any other nationality.

Summery of article in Billed Bladet #47, 2010.
Mary festede med de blå husarer - Mary partied with the blue hussars. (*)
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen.
Mary and Frederik arrived at Antvorskov Barracks in the town of Slagelse to celebrate the 396th anniversary of the Guards Hussars Regiment. (**) Frederik was dressed in the full dress uniform (***) of the Horse Squadron. Frederik being an hussar, has taken part in such parties before, but for Mary it was the first time.
About 300 guests were invited.
There are a number of traditions in connection with this party. Two of them are traditional speeches. One for the ladies and one for the horse.
When the speech for the horse is held, a mare, who always named Laura is brought inside. Tradition dictates that the speech for the horse is full of innuendoes both to female bodyparts and "riding"... This year it was the chaplain who gave the speech.
Another tradition is that all guests at the command: "Prepare to mount" stand on their chairs and place their left foot in an imaginary stirrup on the table, while all sing: "Cling, cling, clang, we are the blue hussars".
It was more or less expected that M&F would leave the party early, but they stayed on.
(*) A reference to a movie.
(**) After the reorganisation of the Danish army from primarily territorial defence to operating abroad, there are now only three combat regiments left. All other combat regiments have been amalgamated into these three regiments. Train, artillery and engineers have also been amalgamated into single specialist regiments.
That is also the case with the Guards Hussars Regiment, which is a light armoured regiment. The Horse Squadron (the genuine hussars) of this regiment was formed in 1762. However the oldest part of this now amalgamated regiment, can trace it's history back to 1614. That was the then Sjællandske Livregiment.
The Royal Lifeguard Regiment, which is a mechanised regiment, has also been amalgamated with other regiments.
The third combat regiment, Jyske Dragonregiment = Jutland Dragoon Regiment, which is an armoured regiment, was also amalgamated with other regiments. One of them being Prinsens Livregiment, in which Prince Joachim served.
(***) The gala uniform includes the kepi, a sabre and the red pelisse, fur jacket, which within the regiment is only referred to as the fur.
The first few seconds of this clip, illustrates correctly the tradition about "prepare to mount":

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #47, 2010.
Fuglekongen - (wordplay difficult to translate).
Written by Caspar Nielsen.
Mary and Frederik have had quite a few guests in their new home recently. Among them a falcon. A Falcon named Frederik.
Mary and Frederik recieved two falcons as wedding presents and the two birds named Mary and Frederik are now six years old. Mary, the bird that is, was flying in Scotland but Frederik dropped by Amalienborg for a visit. The predator wasn't alone, he brought with ham a handler in the shape of the chairman of Danish Falcon Hunting Club, Frank Skaarup Hansen, who take care of the birds on a daily basis along with 23 other falcons in the club.
Mary and the children were also present and as Frank Skaarup Hansen explained: "They (the children) were very interested and they certainly didn't settle with just looking at it. They wanted to touch as well. They are a couple of unusually sweet children".
About Frederik, the human, he said: "The Crown Prince held the falcon absolutely perfect. That I have to say. No problems there, but when you are a fully trained Frogman, I guess you are not afraid of anything".
Frederik, holding Frederik, then posed on the terrace with his back to the square so that the equestrian statue in the middle of the square would also be shown in the photo. These pictures will be published in a foreign magazine. Presumably about falcons and falconeers.

I agree with your choice of favourite picture. The crown prince was probably thinking of the video that Muhler posted regarding the traditions of this particular regiment!

What I find amazing is seeing Tanja Doky dressed up too...She is just the lady-in-waiting, helping and supporting Mary and yet she has to be dressed up to the nines too! What a job! What a life! Imagine the dialogue in her household as she steps out for the evening in her floor length gown...Bye Darling, I'm going to work...See you at midnight, pumpkin

A gallery of Mary's last party before her maternity leave from Billed Bladet: Billed-Bladet - Se alle billederne: Marys sidste fest inden barsel
At the party with the Guards Hussars.
Nocite the mounted honor guard, who are dressed in the gala uniforms complete with the red fur (pelisse), the svejf = the kepi with the adornment meant to resemble a horse's mane.
The full dress uniform which the guests wear pale in comparion, you will surely agree.
Notice also the adjutant standing slightly behind Mary. He is wearing the army mess uniform, with the tent hat, identifying him as belonging to a guards regiment. He is incidentally the head of QMII's staff of adjutants and just as Frederik he is a full colonel.

M, F, C, I at the Tivoli ...
Has anyone seen photos of Mary and Fred with the children and the Heerings at Tivoli two days ago? Mary can still sport a mini skirt at 8 months, and she can still squat! Incredible. Fred looked like a suburban daddy in rust-red pants, very comfy in his daddy role. I don't have a link, only saw the pix themselves, but will look for one!

A new press release from Kongehuset.dk, dated April 4th, reveals that three of the current royal foundations will be merged into one:
-King Frederik and Queen Ingrid's Foundation for Humanitarian and Cultural Aims
-Crown Prince Frederik's Fund
-Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary's Foundation
They will be merged in the latter foundation, as was decided by the boards of the three foundations. The merged foundation will cover all the initiatives/aims of the three individual foundations as a whole.
