Grrrrr... I'm very impatient to see more pictures. :p I really adore this couple because CP Frederik is so sweet and cute and in love. I keep checking back here all the time to see if there's anything new, but it seems that the DRF is good at keeping a low profile when they feel like it! lol

Honestly, I do understand their reservations, because their vacation is their private time with eachother, where they have the opportunity to recuperate, let their shoulders down, be themselves and not worry about a thing! And I really hope they can have this time for themselves (that goes for all royals), we ought to be able to wait a few weeks for new photos and engagements. With all the things they don't have like common people do (such as 100 % privacy), lets give them their private vacation at least. We can observe them about 320 days the rest of the year.
So I wish them all a paparazzi free vacation! This is my opinion anyway!

No! No paparazzi-free vacation! Too bad for Mary or Fred but personal pictures are just fun. Without paparazzi we'll end up with articles on some autopsy of aliens that came to Earth or a veal with 4 tails. Won't you agree that pics of royal vacations are much more fun? hihihi

Danish Billed-Bladet reports that Crown Prince Fredrik and Crown Princess Mary left Copenhagen last Sunday and went to Château de Caïx where they have been staying since then. Their dog Ziggy was with them. Fredrik said:
- It's great to have holidays and to relax, we're really enjoying it!

They are just so cute together! I absolutely love them! They were married the week before I was too so I especially like to keep up on the news about them

That last set of pictures is kinda creepy. I love seeing pictures of one of my favorites (CP Fred), but these images seem like the photographers were hiding in the bushes and pounced on the poor people the second they stepped outside their door!

Now it seems to be finished, and I found a couple of articles on it, one in English and one in Danish.

Wonder what it will look like?? But first the court has to approve it, before we get to see it. Hope it's modern but not to funky! These royal painted portraits tends, in my opinion, to either be too standard and boring or too experimental (like the ones that were made of King Harald and Queen Sonja some years back).

Im looking forward to seeing the portrait. 2m is very tall!

Talking of Mary & Fred I'm pretty disgusted at the "headlines" in two of our Australian magazines this week! The Womans Weekly has "How Mary was made to hide her baby bump" and the Womans Day is "Mary vows My child will not grow up unloved like Fred"! Honestly, I wonder just where these people get such lurid imaginations? Given the fact that the only other mag on sale "New Idea" is covered in pictures of Leyton Hewitt and the airhead he married I think I'll stick to Hello!

I know its really pathetic. They just create stories to sell, they only see dollar signs. There is no respect at all unfortunately. I also read another headline saying "Mary's palace torment" and "Mary's palace feud". Pathetic.

This headline might actually be a modified truth. Because Frederik has said that his children will have a different upbringing than he and his brother got. Meaning he himself will be more involved in the upbringing. He has said in interviews that he felt like a guest with his parents and that he was mostly taken care of by nannies and that he felt his upbringing was very strickt (mostly due to his father's way of upbringing which he brought with him from France). But wether he felt unloved or not I cannot say. Though, he has commented his upbringing on several occations.
I can't seem to find any transcripts of interviews where he comments on his childhood and upbringing. If someone knows of one/several please put the links in this thread.

Frederik said in a speech he made at his parents' 25th anniversary that his father had lived by the guideline of "those we love, we correct" and said that he and his brother had certainly felt loved.
I don't think that Frederik and Joachim were unloved. Unfortunate, perhaps, in that their mother, as Queen Elizabeth II also did, ascended to the throne while her children were very young, and therefore had to hand over a lot of responsibility to other care-providers.
Queen Margrethe has also said, on numerous occasions in biographies, that she is not very good with young children, and she has never been (from the time of her much younger sister Anne-Marie until today.) The Queen prefers children she can do things with and talk with.

A quick comment on Mary's U2 outfit: I hate the brown sack-like top she's wearing - blah color and unflattering shape. Like the jeans and strappy sandals though.

i actually like the outfit a lot. it's a nice casual outfit for a summer concert. i would say mary has lots of problems when it comes to combinating outfits and imho she isn't really a fashion guru but i definetely loved this one... i think casual outfits suit her a lot more than formal ones.

I agree with Carlota, I like the outfit too but then again, it's rare that I dislike something Mary wears. But everyone is entitled to their opinion...that's what makes the world go 'round!
Are Women's Day and Women's Weekly reputable magazines or are they tabloids? Just wondering, I'm not familiar with them being from the US. Do they often have untruthful or spun headlines?

They're more like middle-aged mother of 3/granny magazines...haha :p i don't know about if they're really considered reputable but i don't think really highly of them...they're more like gossip magazines in which practically half of the magazine is dedicated to non-fat diet recipes - but none the less if you give me a copy i would still read it and laugh at the ridiculous articles they write

That's horrible! You'd think the demographic that the magazines target would have better things to do with their time that to read junk!
