I have had a look at Monkey Magazines homepage. It is not a magazine to my liking. Lots of women - not only from Thailand - are dressed up very lightly and posing in sexually suggestive positions. I can't judge whether it is porn or not - but it is impossible not to think about that word when looking at the homepage. I am a bit disapointed. I thought he was a better man then that.
But still, it is important to know that the article was brought by Se & Hør, which is a tittle tattle magazine. It is - very mildly - said not the most reliable magazine in the world. IMO, if Martin was mixed up in the porn-business even the serious papers in Denmark would be writing about it. They don't. Not to my knowledge.

According to Ekstra Bladet Countess Alexandra has pulled out of the concert at Danmarks Radio's new concert hall on Saturday because the Queen is apparently not pleased with the fact that Alexandra, as the "ardent" patron for the Girls' Choir, would be received officially upon her arrival, as that treatment is normally accorded to the Queen and the royal family. So, so as to avoid a protocol mess, the Countess has been forced to make her apologies. The fact that she's made her apologies has been confirmed by the spokesperson for the choir, but reasons were not given.

Wow. Is this really the reason for her apologies, or is this speculation? I'm not familiar with Ekstra Bladet. Does anyone know if they are more of a gossip mag, or are they usually accurate?

I'm a tad confused. Doesn't the Countess attend this every year as the "ardent" patron----so why this year has it become a protocol mess????????
Would this have anything to do with Martin & the magazine????

Alex , the source is unreliable! Ekstrabladet, which is not exactly the bearer of the truth is referring to an even less reliable source, the gossip mag "Her og Nu"!
This is not about the girls' choir; it's about the inauguration of the new Radio Denmark Concert Hall, at which the Girls' Choir will perform, among many others!
It is possible that Alexandra was invited in her capacity as patron of the choir. However with the royal family present she won't be entitled to the red carpet treatment. It's protocol, really!
Whatever the truth: Countess Alexandra is wise to stay away!

Thank you, Viv, for the explanation about Ekstrabladet. It does make sense that Alexandra would step down from the event, since it is not about the choir.

It has nothing to do with Martin and the magazines (at least not according to the article - it isn't mentioned at all) and the Countess does not attend this event every year as the event is about inaugurating a newly build concerthall.
I can't say whether there is any truth in the story, but Extra Baldet is a newspaper all about sensation and the article is based upon an article in the magazine Her & Nu which is totally unreliable.
All in all I don't have much faith in anything neither Extra Bladet nor Her & Nu writes.

Ok, I understand now, I found a lot of information obout DR Coorporation in Wiki! The Danish DR is very similar to RTVE (Spanish Radio & Television) with has an orchesta and a choir too.
 Thanks anyway Viv!

S&H is just repeating the speculative story of H&N and Ekstrabladet (see former posts).
The "drama" is: Alexandra will not attend the inauguration of DR's new concerthouse (although she is patron of DR Girls Choir), the DRF including Marie will. According to those magazines this means: "Queen Margrethe doesn't want to stay in the same room with her former daughter-in-law".

Oh for crying out loud. As far as I am aware there is no bad blood between the two. If there were, I seriously doubt that Margrethe would have treated Alexandra in the generous way that she did during and after the divorce. What these people will come up with is astounding sometimes. Although I don't know why I am surprised.

In this week's Billed-Bladet, the Radio Denmark director of music Leif Loensmann confirms that Countess Alexandra has been invited to the inauguration of the concert hall on January 17th, and that she has sent her regrets a long time ago.
As for sources, this is as good as it gets!

HM!
You are so right! Se og Hør and Ekstrabladet are not working in the best interest of the royal family! And a "small" gossip mag like "Her og nu" are just trying to boost its sales.
Headlines like "Alex isn't being invited to ....this and that" are normally based on ignorance about the protocol! The royal court said a long time ago that Alexandra would be invited to RF events involving her children. The next thing coming up would be the confirmation of Prince Nikolai in ....somethink like...erm.. 2013 !
Another thing is the general relationship between the Queen and Alexandra. We don't have much to go by here! Disregarding what Villemann wrote in "1015", other journalists before her have suggested that the two ladies are not exactly subject to mutual admiration . One of them (from Ugebladet Søndag) wrote that the relationship is frosty, but correct!

Billed-Bladet - Alexandras kloge beslutning – nej til festaften!
This articles says that, even though the Queen announced that she was welcome, it was wise of Alexandra to not attend - the great question was apparently not how she would be received upon arrival (according to BB), but where she'd sit; not in the royal box, so where?
And it is obvious that the 'diary clashes' was a polite excuse, as the Countess seemed to spend all day at home, as did Martin.
There's also another article which is basically about how she said "thanks, but no thanks" to the invitation here:
