The flowergirl, was appropriately named Isabella too, even though she was nine years old. She was a bit nervous and she didn't feel brave enough to actually talk to Bella, who incidentally was higher than the one year older flowergirl. But there was a slight disappointment though. Isabella had hoped Bella would be wearing a dress.

Me too! I knew what the itinerary was so I knew Isabella and Mary would have to be dressed down for the island activities but I hoped they would've gotten dolled up for the christening and then changed clothes.

This was such a great event.
Perfect for a 8 year old first event without Christian or the twins.
Frederik , Mary and the Queen must be so proud.
Thank you for the links
Love the one of her holding the owl.
And of both in the water, ready for any event with a positive attitude

Totally agree. Frederik and Mary are doing a fantastic job as parents to their children.
It's already such a naturalness to them. They are always confident, natural, happy. It's going to benefit them so much. Well done Frederik and Mary!

A DR1 clip: https://www.dr.dk/tv/se/tv-avisen-me...-06-06#!/18:29
Go to 18:25.
19:22: "It's really grand to have your own ship. A ferry that other people can see".
Sweet that she got a little bit embarrassed when she pressed the fog-horn.
The Tv2 clip has been commented by me as well and it's posted above somewhere.
Video: Prinsesse Isabella på sit første job | Billed Bladet
A great video from BB.
In the very first seconds Bella is being welcomed and you can see how she acknowledge it.
The present was made from gold, amber and clams.
She actually honked the horn three times.
She also confirmed to our reporter, Trine larsen, that she had indeed been given advise from mother, but didn't go into details.

Absolut worth watching:
Sådan gik Prinsesse Isabellas første arbejdsdag | Nyhederne
ADDED:
Again the clip/article has ended up being the most read article on TV2's website.

The jewellery Bella received was made by Evelyn Iversen from the Samsø village of Mårup.

The twins will no doubt be very eager to help her... test the quality of the strawberries!
But my guess is that dessert tonight was the good old fashioned and all time favorite: sugared strawberries in milk or cream: http://cdn2.billeder.madopskrifter.n...arge/10135.jpg
There would have been loud slurping heard tonight in the M&F kitchen no doubt.

I think that this was a wonderful first "solo" event for her, and I bet she felt very special and proud getting to do it with her mother, without her brothers and sister along. Bella appears to be a very cheerful and confident child, and even though she's only eight years old she seems to be quite the young lady! Her parents must be so proud of her.

A big thanks to those who shared the photos and videos of the event.
It looks like it was quite a fun first engagement full of activities. It was cute how blackcurrant juice was used to suit her age. I agree with those who have said that Isabella appears to be quite confident, I think she'll do a good job in years to come.
Her outfit was reminiscent of the outfit the Duchess of Brabant wore when she christened a ship not that long ago, to me.

Wow...What a day for Bella's first "working day"!! She is such a lovely and confident little girl and ITA w/those have said that is all down to Fredrick and Mary's excellent parenting job they're doing w/all four of their children. I just can't get over how much Bella looks like her Dad though. I mean..Talk about a Mini Me!!
Loved how they used juice instead of the usual Champagne due to Bella's age. Such a great idea. She looked like she was having so much fun. ITA w/her about the Clams and Eels though. Don't blame her one bit about not wanting to have anything to do w/them.
Loved the pics of her w/the Owl and Falcon. They're called Great Horned Owls here in my area of NE Ontario Muhler, so pretty close between our Countries in Translation. I thought she did very well w/the Birds of Prey, as you have to be confident, yet also show them the level of respect they demand. Bella did very well indeed.
Loved her reaction to her very pretty gift of jewelry. Very much the little girl there.
Thanks to our Danish friends for all the links and pictures from a very special day in the life of HRH Princess Isabella of Denmark. :)

What a succescful day for Isabella - and her proud mother. We have got wonderful pictures and videos, and thumbs up for Samsø for having arranged such a great programme around the island's nature. And it only makes it better with that lovely summer weather! I had much fun to see the Princesses in waders looking after fish.
10 nice pictures from Samsø Berries:

I love these pictures of expressive Bella

That our large news website TV2's article/video reportage of Bella's day still the morning/noon after are the 3rd 'most read article' on their website tells about the CP family's popularity, but also that Samsø right now may clap in their hands for what a good advertisement for their little island.
