I think Bella is my favorite Royal child... So expressive! So confident! and already knows how to work a crowd like pro.I get the feeling Christian is the well behaved thoughtful one but she lights up a room. Heck, PH looks actually relaxed and happy around his granddaughter :) two of a kind?

Isabella is such an expressive child and she always looks like she is having fun. I love that and I hope it continues into her adult life!
I am always amazed at how much like Frederik she looks.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #18, 2015.
Written by the exceptional Ulrik Ulriksen.
As you know Bella turned eight last Tuesday and she was no doubt celebrated at home, before going to school, where she was no doubt also celebrated by her class.
After school Isabella went to Tivoli. The article doesn't say with whom.
But Sunday she was celebrated in earnest by friends. They arrived around 15.00.
Among them were Peter and Caroline Heering with their Rosemarie and Emilie.
Peter Bang and Juliane Meulengracht.
And also Johan and Rebecca Wedell-Wedellsborg and their daughter. - But apparently the Wedellsborg are not used to using the official entrance. They went for the back/private/secondary entrance until a sentry on duty directed them to the right gate.

We've probably covered this one before, but let's have it one more time.
Summary of a Q&A in Billed Bladet #21, 2015.
Where a Benjamin Madsen would like to know what would happen should Christian turn out to be gay. Could he adopt children who could be the next heir?
Jon Bloch Skipper replies:
No. The Law of Succesion §5 states that only children born within a legal marriage can succeed to the throne. So regardless of the sexual orientation of Christian no adopted children can become in line for the throne.
After king Christian XI, Isabella (or her oldest child) will be the next monarch.

There is an official duty coming up for Bella.
TV 2 | ØSTJYLLAND | Færge opkaldes efter kongelig | Nyheder | Samsø
A ferry is to be renamed from M/F Samsø to M/F Prinsesse Isabella.
The renaming ceremony will take place on 6th June and it will indeed be Bella herself who will do the honor, with a bit of support from mother, because Mary will present as well.
The ceremony will take place on the island of Samsø in the port of sælvig (= seal-cove).
Here is the almost brand new ferry: http://www.takeoff.dk/wp-content/upl...sams%C3%B8.jpg

That's great. It will be nice to see Isabella at an official event.

Bella's first official engagement in her own right – she's getting so big! I can vividly remember back when she attended Find vej dagen alongside Frederik and Christian and exclaimed, "I could do that!" when Christian had some trouble cutting the ribbon I can imagine she's quite proud right about now
First Ingrid Alexandra in Norway, then Élisabeth in Belgium and now little Isabella here in Denmark – I think I see a royal pattern of young European princesses and ship christenings here.

Weeell, she had to eat those words recently. When she was to cut the ribbon when the eco-cows were let out. At that point it was Vincent who believed: "I could do that".
There are not so many (impressive) ferries as there used to be, instead we have a lot more bridges.
So perhaps we will have a Prins Vincent Bro and a Prinsesse Josephine Bro just waiting to be named in the future?
Not as sexy as a ship, alas, but at least they'll be around longer.
ADDED:
Does anyone happen to know whether a mobile phone can spontaneously catch fire? Surely my wife's phone will soon be too hot for her to hold! Perhaps I should fetch a fire extinguisher...
