I´ve always learned that the bottom is the Catqueen and the last board (bræt) is the Catking :)

Different custums from place to place, I guess? Or you are getting old, FasterB and things have perhaps changed since your own childhood back in late Jurassic?
As far as I understand it's now bottom out = king or queen, depending on the sex of the child. Otherwise it can take forever to get the last splinter down.

Tomorrow it's Bella's birthday - let's start a little early with those pretty glorious pictures from the 'Find Your Way Day' a few weeks ago

Isabella really is a ham....But all the little Danishes but for Christian seem to be. They seem livelier than other royal children but in a good way, not obnoxiously or obtrusively. They are just fun.

TV2 birthday gallery for Isabella:
Her er prinsesse Isabellas liv i billeder | GO'
Sadly, it seems like we won't get any new pictures of Bella today. I otherwise love Mary's birthday pictures of the children.

Why aren't they releasing new pictures of her today? Because it's Easter Monday?
Such a shame. Mary's pictures of the children are always so well-taken.

Yeah maybe. I think in general it all (the media as well) has been totally shut down during the Easter.
But yes, really a pity. In the past it was only on special birthdays we got pictures, but Mary has otherwise made it a tradition that we get her lovely pictures every year for all four children's birthdays.

I agree, it's a shame that there are no new photos of Isabella. But as others have said, perhaps it's due to the fact that it was Easter Monday today. Over here in the UK, we're having a bank holiday (well, it's almost over now) - is it the same in Denmark? I'm asking because that could also be a reason as to why there are no photos of little Isabella.

It is a shame that we didnt get official pictures of Isabella for her birthday this year; I dont think we have gotten official birthday pics of her every single year; also with Christian I think we have missed official birthday pictures at least one year or so.
either way, Im glad we got to see her recently : D

I think that a few pictures *might* be released tomorrow or in the coming days. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't send any pictures out at all.

The majority of the Danish school children have had Easter Holiday (Påskeferie) since last Monday. Everyone else have the Danish equivalent of bank holidays on Maundy Thursday (Skærtorsdag), Good Friday (Langfredag), Easter Sunday (Påskedag) and Easter Monday (2. Påskedag).

I think that with the 10th wedding anniversary coming up they figured there will be plenty of new pictures for everybody to enjoy! I can't wait...!
(On a side note: how much our lives have changed in these past years, too, right? It would be fun to do a "where were you when...?")

The new school reform is being implemented this school year and that will directly involve Christian and Bella.
Here is an English blog that describes it in better details than I think I can: Back to (the new) school (reform)! – Diane's Daily Denmark

I grew up on the eastern coast of Canada so a lot of this would obviously take place in snow, sleet and wind for at least five months of the year. If we complained our teachers would helpfully suggest we add another layer of clothing and run faster to keep warm.
I've seen similar reports about reforms in our schools - adding in time for "movement classes" and the like - which makes me think time for physical activity has been cut quite a bit in the public schools over the past couple of decades. It can only be a good thing to add some of that time back, IMO.
