Yes it is and also the setting inside the Palacio Real being used more and more by Felipe VI is very refreshing!

In this case, it only makes sense using it. The signing of the Accesion Teatry to the EC was at the Hall of Columns of the Royal Palace

Yes, it looks very harmonious. Hopefully we see now and again these two in joint engagements :)

So stupid. Two outfits perfect for the event. They do not know what to write anymore. Anyway very important we see the two Queens in joint events. It is rare up to this non-existent in other royal families.

I still don't get it. Two Kings, two Queens and a whole lot of confusion. My congratulations to Queen Beatrix who knew, when you abdicate as Queen and hand the royal torch to your heir, that's it, no more Queen, just a wonderful Princess Beatrix.
In Spain and Belgium, you have two Kings and their Queens and, to my way of thinking, confusion. If you are of an older age group your loyalty is going to be to your King, your Queen, and certainly not the younger set and as long as 'your' King lives 'The King' does not have the loyalty of his countrymen and women behind his reign.
So you have divided loyalties in a divided Royal House. For me, IMHO, there should only ever be one exception and that is a Dowager Consort.

The difference is that according to Dutch law a abdicated monarch reverts to her/his old status after leaving office and remember how Maxima isn't really a queen "just" Queen Maxima, Princess of The Netherlands.
