Mallorca has enjoyed for over 30 years of the benefits of the Royal Family from their holidays there, many places in Spain could complain about that. They have also been stupid if they wanted to keep the "business", they should have been less selfish. When the Prince and Princess of Asturias were 5 days a summer in Asturias years ago, in Mallorca the press tired of criticizing (and they had been there 15). I would not want to go somewhere where they treat me like that.
The royal vacation model is outdated, is what the king agreed and wanted 30 years ago when the things were very diferent, and the rest of the family had to assume the obligation.Hopefully this is a change.
