Letizia is now in the second trimester of her pregnancy, which is when you are at your peak (usually). The (usual) sequence is that during your first trimester you are usually tired from all the new hormonal changes in your body (especially in Letizia's case since it is her first pregnancy), and you commonly experience morning sickness. During your second trimester, you are used to things and you are not so big that you can still move around comfortably. Doctors say that you can even do light exercises if you so wish during this time. From her previous career as a journalist to the past year and a half she seems to be someone who has a tremendous amount of energy and who doesn't like to or can't sit still for very long.

I agree lula. I think the press attention this summer is going to be only more intense. Last summer's press attention will pale in comparison to the scrutiny Letizia gets from now on -- first as the media monitors her pregnancy, then when the baby is born, and as the child goes up. (Even more so if it's a boy and it will be second in line to the throne after his father.)

I don't really think this story to be true but just another attempt by the media to stir up some controversy/trouble in the hot days of summer. Not just for the reasons lula mentioned about the sunglasses and Queen Sofia wearing them frequently herself -- we saw her wear her sunglasses in a few of the photos when she arrived in Mallorca just the other day. But about the "uniform" -- I think it's simply a casual summer outfit that Letizia liked and was appropriate for sitting around on a boat all day long. As often discussed, it's obvious that Letizia is not very into clothes -- see how often she repeats her working wardrobe and how her outfits are usually variations of similar designs -- so is it surprising that her summer wardrobe is any different? Even more when you think that it should really be "private" time and that she wouldn't be as subjected to media scrutiny as when she's working.
