I think that we are seeing many different things. #1 - They have gotten to know each other better and they obviously enjoy each other's company. #2. I think that Letizia being pregnant and in her 6th month takes the "heat" off of both of them and they can relax a little. #3. Many people (including myself) sometimes need a person that cares for them and loves them to really make them shine, and I think that they make each other shine, they definately bring out the best traits in each other. #4. They are young and in LOVE and that is really coming out right now.

Thank you everybody for all the great pictures of the royal family relaxing. Everybody looks like they are enjoying their much-deserved holidays!
Letizia looks fabulous in the pink criss-cross top!
And so sweet the pictures of Letizia and Felipe sitting in the bot leaning on each other.

It's so rare to see the Queen so casually dressed. (Do my eyes deceive me? Is the Queen actually wearing a zip-up sweatshirt?!)
I bet some of the drivers on that street were quite surprised to see the Queen and Infanta Cristina walking across the street by their cars like any other Spaniard! It is one of the things I love most about this family -- that they are so humble and unpretentious. They carry their own shopping bags, wait in line like everyone else and walk to places if they can rather than be chaueffered everywhere.

Yes Alexandria it is surprising to see them casually walking down the street. Also waiting in line etc, i think its a sign that they are a truly humble hamily as you said.

This photo of the Princes that so much you like it has a explanation, I have seen her today in television. The Princess had seen a friend of the Prince and had not realized that they were there and continued walking.
It seems to me that there has not made to the Queen great grace that these photos were doing to her, the truth is that this year they are overwhelming very much to the whole family. Apparently, there was a moment in which they had to ask the photographers who stopped doing photos and they doing it.

Queen and Infanta Cristina see gone out ditch of height
The Queen and the Infanta Cristina accompanied by the Princess Irene of Greece, saw today from the launch 'Somni' the exit of the ditch of height of the Glass of the King of Candle, in which don Juan Carlos did not compete.
The launch, the same one in which yesterday the Princes of Asturias went out to the sea, came to the field of ditches minutes before at 13:00, during a morning of the Sun and with favorable wind, one was giving the exit.
The ships, in this third day of the Glass, will navigate an approximate distance of 100 miles, between the islands of Dragonera and Cabrera, out of the waters of the bay of Palm, and it hopes that they come to port in the first hours of the night.
After the exit, Dona Sofía and the Duchess of Palm followed with attention the navigation of ' Puig's Azure ', ship in which dona Cristina has haggled in the previous years and of the one that is a boss.

Perhaps you can find the explanation of that in the last part of this article:
http://www.ultimahora.es/discreto.dba?-1+12+328163
“By the way, Queen Sofía and her daughter, Infanta Cristina, back from Barcelona, where they were visiting Alexia, walked along the street Jaime III. They went, first, to Prenatal, they have so many reasons to visit this shop-Cristina and Alexia has given birth recently, and as you all know, the Princess of Asturias, Letizia, is going to give birth soon-, later they stopped in an ice-cream parlour to buying an ice cream and, finally, they came in a shoe store. When they exited they asked us for stop following them, because they wanted to continue their walk calmly, and as we are a great people, we covered up the cameras and we went away elsewhere. And it's a pleasure to work this way. As for those who "suffer" us, as for us.”
