Letizia indeed looks amazing! I've been meaning to tell this since the pictures of the lunch were released. She has her "glow" back (shut up Anna, no rumors... )

Anna, thanks for the wonderful pictures! And I have to admit I was thinking the same thing about the 'glow' and I also thought, "Hmmm -- a sleeveless gown in January while the queen and wife of the Hungarian President are in long sleeves?' I know that pregnancy can make some women warmer than usual.....BUT.....not to speculate!:)

It's the first time we see the Princess of Asturias with so many jewels. Her earrings are absolutely gorgeous and her necklace is also very beautiful and, above all, it is not overdone. Letizia is being very smart on not exaggerating the use of jewels; she has a very balanced princess-like look, and she completely avoids the "Christmas tree look".
Definitely very smart the recycling of her gala dresses too. She had already recycled the red skirt from the Danish pre-wedding concert, combining it with a different top, to the gala in honour of the Peruvian president. Now she's slightly changed the top of her own pre-wedding dinner dress, but I’m not sure if it was a good choice. I think the dress should remain as some kind of museum piece of art. It was a gorgeous dress for a bride, and I think it should remain like that... though she's well rationalizing the resources, and so following her mother-in-law's steps, who also always recycles her dresses a lot.
I wish I can see, some day, Letizia in a gala black dress. I simply loved the lace outfit she used in her visit to Hungary. She's proved to be very flattered in strong colours, as red, black or even white. I'm not a particular fan of neutral colours...
The Kings of Spain, accompanied by the Princes of Asturias, offered yesterday a gala supper, in honour to the president of Hungary, Ferenc Mádl, and his wife, Dalma, in the Royal Palace of Madrid. Doña Letizia Ortiz, who was very elegant and radiant, worn the same tiara of her wedding ceremony and dazzled with a silver dress with embroider train. Like anecdote, Queen Sofía and the Hungarian president trampled twice on her train. During the reception, Don Felipe and Doña Letizia gave once again proof of their love. The couple interchanged complicity glances and, during some moments of the night, they were very affectionate, hand in hand and sharing smiles. After the act, the Kings of Spain, the Princes of Asturias, Ferenc Mádl and his wife offered the traditional greetings ceremony, with all the political authorities, namely the president of the Government, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero.
Thank you to everyone who posted pictures. Letizia looked stunning -- quite the good recycling job she did with her pre-wedding ball gown. Except for the train I would totally believe it if someone told me it was a new and completely different dress.
And I thought Letizia's hair was spectacular. Done up high and with all those curls and ends woven in and out of each other. This is what gala dressing is all about!
My only gripe about this occasion was with Queen Sofia's attire -- she looked a bit dowdy with the pouffy skirt. And as I love Queen Sofia very much, I know that she is anything but dowdy. (The pink/cream dress from January's Pascua Militaire is testimony enough that this woman is not dowdy but supremely elegant!)
I must agree with all of you here who are awed - absolutely spectacular! Here is a Princess who knows how to recycle with style Thanks everyone who posted pictures, it's really been eye candy so far. The only "minus" I can find is "poor guest of honour", who had to stand in the "shadow" of all the glitter
His Majesty the King encouraged yesterday the UE to promote "the institutional development and the economic reforms in the neighboring countries", in order to foment freedom and security. Don Juan Carlos made these statements last night, during the gala supper offered to the Hungarian president, Férenc Madl, and his wife, who are visiting Spain. Madl shall have lunch today with Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and Thursday will travel to Lérida with the Princes, to pay tribute to Princess Violante of Hungary, wife of King Jaime I of Aragón.
