Queen Sofía looked great yesterday at the gala dinner, it's great to see her in such an impressive tiara and strong colour of the dress!

And those dancers were certainly something special, very nice!

The husbands of the Infantas do not have any sash given by the King, since they are not members of the Royal family. The shas that Iñaqui takes is that of the Sports Merit, for his past as sportsman.

It was not at her engagement, at which she wore a pant suit. She wore it in her pre-wedding dinner.

Queen Sofia looks absolutely stunning in that purple number. Very very elegant and every inch the Queen of Spain.

Cristina didn't wear the shimmery blue gown to her engagement. She wore an off white pantsuit with a light coloured scarf at her engagement.

She did however wear this gown to her pre-wedding ball the night before her wedding.

As she wore that gown first in 1997, I do wish she would put it out of circulation now. It was pretty then but she's worn it a few times now, and even though I have always appreciated the Spanish royal family's thriftiness in matters of clothing, I think it's time to put this particular gown out of commission. It is starting to look dated and matronly on her. Even though she was younger when she first wore it, I think Cristina looks even more amazing now and her clothes should reflect that evolution. This gown does nothing for her in my opinon.

Sofia however looks resplendent. This is one of the queen's best gala gowns and she always looks magnificent in it. I don't mind it in the least when the queen recycles this gown.
