Such security would put off a lot of people from marrying a member of a reigning family.

Or reassure some others, given that such a high-profile life is an extreme security risk and it's better to have the protection from people who want to do you harm.

Security like that is trained to operate as camouflaged and discreetly as necessary, not to interfere in a protectee's life.

Although a fictional example, I still think of an instance in the Felipe and Letizia movie — Felipe's security checked out Letizia's apartment for the first time while the two of them sat in the car. Then they came back down, said "Buenas noches", and left them alone. It was almost cute.

The Spanish RF in particular used to be a high-value target for ETA. Things are probably calmer now.

I remember that scene from the Felipe and Letizia movie.
The main members of the Spanish Royal Family always have security with them.
Even Infanta Elena and Infanta Cristina are also always accompanied by security guards.
Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia are also always accompanied by security guards.

The Royal House has announced the acquisition of three new motorcycles for the Military Control Company of the Group of Bodyguards of the Royal Guard. These vehicles must be off-road vehicles and will be used for tasks related to the security of the royal family.

Strange that these details are published. It only helps potential terrorists by knowing what equipment the security services have.

I don't think it's a problem to know what equipment the Spanish security services have.
The Spanish royal family has a lot of security, well-prepared people who protect them.

The news media do not usually show us the security people and I presume it must be fairly onerous for the royals to be so heavily guarded all the time. The security would be a negative of the job.

In comparison, even the costs of the intelligence- and security services used for royals, ministers, diplomats, etc. are not specified in the Dutch State Budget because already detailed finances would be "information for potential terrorists". Of course anyone will know that the Spanish royal family is excellently prepared but that the security has three off-road motorbikes (and not five, or nine, or twelve) is quite operational information for any potential idiot.

I also think that these details should not be disclosed.
The information was released by the royal house, presumably to show transparency.

According to the Spanish press, specifically La Razon and Vanitatis, Princess Leonor in Wales is accompanied by 5 bodyguards.

It must be uncomfortable for Princess Leonor to be at boarding school in Wales with five bodyguards. Hopefully they give her some room to interact with her classmates and roommates.

Don't worry they are most discreet, but vigilant while knowing how to not appear intimidating.

Here is a photo of one of them: https://img1.cgtrader.com/items/1956...ds-fbx-ztl.jpg
