At the moment Its confirmed the assistance of the Royal Family, in the official agenda that publishes the web page of the Royal House they never specify if they represent or not the children.

It would be nice to bring all the kids. It's very often that one would get to meet the Pope.

According to the Archbishop of Valencia.
A track or relevant information.
Next Saturday the Spanish Prime minister, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, will go to visiting the Pope accompanied by his wife and daughters.

Probably, the Royal Family also will go with the children.

According to sources of the Palace of the Zarzuela , the monarches will support two meetings with the Pope on Saturday day. Don Juan Carlos and dona Sofía will come to the airport at 11.10 hours of Saturday, where they will be got for the prime minister and the rest of authorities. Twenty minutes later they will receive the Pope with the respective anthems, the company of honors and the greeting to the flag before the words of the king and of Benedicto XVI to the attendees. The infanta Leonor will return to appear publicly: in Valencia, with the whole Royal Family

After the presentation before the Virgin of Atocha, the infanta Leonor will return to be present at a public act of official character. The daughter of the princes of Asturias will be present, together with her parents and the rest of the Royal Family, at the acts of the Pope in Valencia. The Royal Family to the complete one will be present in the closing of the International V Meeting of the Family, in the mass that on Sunday Benedicto XVI will say in the capital of the Turia.

If the Pope would go to Madrid, the "problem" wouldn't exist, the kids would surely attend his act, like it was in case of John Paul II visit few years ago. Now it will be more difficult, since they will probably have to bring all nannies to Valencia:D

Exact, to travel with seven children to Valencia is not easy, because of it I am not very sure that they all go. If they travel the babysitters are going to have a lot of work, for the children it is slightly boring, they are very long acts and it will be very hot.;)

And this act is not only about posing with the Pope. It is much more. Usually His Holliness spends some time with the King and then with entire Royal Family in audience listening and advising them. I remember Juan U. Borbón was already bored when the picture was taken in Pope Johanes Paulus II visit.

But I would love to see the babies as, specially due to the subject around this visit - family life - I am sure the Pope would be very pleased to see how extent Spanish Royal Family has become in last years.

I became emotional in knowing that His Holliness will stop next to Jesus Metro Station to pray for the victims and their relatives.

If there was a place in Spain that deserved to receive Pope's visit and consolation now, it is Valencia.

My guess is that only big ;) boys and Victoria will go. I'm almost seeing the two Juans with serious gesture being the most well-behaved princes ever... The two little princesses will stay home eventually.

Regards,
mtbcm :)

Yes, this article also says they will await the Pope at the metro station where the Pope specifically wanted to go. It also says that it has NOT been confirmed that all the children will be present, and specifically mentions it not being confirmed that the Infanta Leonor will be present.
