King Adullah arrived and was welcomed at the airport by The Kings of Spain.

The images are of the arrival of the Kings to Saudi Arabia last year. The Kings will receive the king in the Palace of El Pardo. The Kings already never receive in the airport, it was stopped doing by safety questions. Always they do it in the Palace of El Pardo that is the residence of the Chiefs of State who visit Spain.;)

Thank you for clarifying this lula :flowers:

Thank you very much, by the photos and the information. Queen Sofía, as always is magnificent. The king sees itself last very youthful. Both watch with great affection and complicity in the last photo. They also seem more united to his son who never. Greetings!:flowers::flowers:

Thanks Lula for all the pictures. Letizia looked great, doesnt seem her hair is any shorter than it was, well cant really judge seen we didnt het a proper view. She seems to have lost most of the baby weight, her face seems to be a bit full which suits her.

Why is Letizia sitting besides King Abdullah? Shouldnt Queen Sofia be seatted beside him?

A horse - what a nice gift, something different. I am sure the King was delighted, being a horse enthusiast.

We can't see much of Letizia but it's good that she's back. The relations to the House of Saud are close and important, so a good opportunity for her return.

She looks a bit lost though between the King, the interpreter and the rest of the Saudi delegation. I don't envy her - no idea what I could discuss with the Saudi King :ermm:

Not sure if her hair is THAT short or if she has just put it back, eg wearing a ponytail. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing more of her in the next weeks.

This should be really of a great importance for Letizia to be there!!

was the horse a gift from king Abdullah to king Juan carlos? or what

It's good to Letizia, even if it's only two pics. Thanks lula.

Yes, this is what I meant when I said she looked a bit lost. The men are chatting with each other and Letizia seems to be in an uncomfortable position. I thought this was rather Queen Sofia's position with Letizia being seated near Felipe but I am not an expert in protocol.

It was a gift of the King of Spain to the Arabic King.

Correct. The Sauds are very much into horses and I am sure JC hit the nerve with his present. I wonder if Abdullah had a horsebox in his private jet to take it with him straight away :)
