Queen Sofia is the most visible Spanish Royal during the Easter Holidays followed by King Felipe ,she seems to enjoy being in Mallorca. I don't think too many will be upset if old king Juan Carlos doesn't attend the Mass and family gathering on Easter Sunday.

I still remember his face when he walked past the squabbling Queens, absolutely gobsmacked! He went straight to Felipe but he told him 'not now!'

Of course, it would surprise me if some badblood was noticeable.
Can't wait to see the girls. It's been a while since we saw them.

Any idea where the emeritus king is for Easter ?
Holy Week celebrations are a big part of Spanish culture. It would be odd if Juan Carlos was not seen taking part in any religious cerimony over the Easter period.

Wasn't last year the only time he attended since his abdication?

Maybe it was too much for him last year and decided to stay away from squabbling women.
Felipe looks totally exhausted, what is going on???

I wish that Juan Carlos could be more interested in engagements with the rest of the family and attend the Easter service with them. After last year's debacle, I'm not surprised Letizia is all smiles this year! It's always nice to see the girls and I love how close Leonor seems to be to Felipe.

He trimmed or thinned out his beard! (In some pictures on Easter it almost looked as if he shaved it off.) I think it gives him a bit of a different look.
