HI&RH Prince Georg Friedrich & HSH Princess Sophie von Isenburg, Aug 2011

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
I hope we can get a lot of pix of the ceremony

ZDF and ARD just bring little reports in some shows.

Where was her brother Alexander at the concert ? Was he just not photographed or did he not attend ?
Does anybody know ? May be you Schwarzer Adler ( may be because his girlfriend ?) ?

Because his girlfriend? What do you mean?

For those Scandinavians (able to receive norwegian television) of you interested in this "imperial" wedding" I would like to make an offer:
I could make a copy of the 3-hour-live coverage of the wedding. I´m looking desperately for the documentaries, special programmes concerning the norwegian royal 10th wedding anniversary!
But programmes of danish roalty would be welcome. If there´s someone interested and able please send me a private message! Thanks in advance!

I wish there were subtitles in English on the internet coverage!

Hm, the groom is walking by foot to the church and I didn't see any european royals there :ermm: accept for a lot of german royals

The woman who is walking with groom (the green one) - who is she? His mother or who??

Yes. On his right hand he had his mother on the left hand it was his sister.

I've seen Grand Duchess Marie of Russia and her son, as well as Lord Nicholas Windsor and his wife. I wouldn't know most of the Gerrman royals on sight.

Sophie's wedding gown and tiara are........interesting.

The dress is rather unusual, but I love it! The Isenburg tiara is really beautiful, and I'm glad that it doesn't get lost in the old veil.

And who are the children on the right side of the bride and groom?

I think three of them are Sophie's nieces and nephews. They walked to the church with her family. I don't know who the other three are.

Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme and his sister Princess Carolina de Bourbon de Parme are also guests at this wedding. Maybe they are also representing their aunt Queen Beatrix.

Great!Actually I very much like the couple, they become one my favorites!I liked both bride and groom, especially the bride, with her classical ,but romantic dress and her tiara.

I think in the front row on the groom's side is a royal couple from Jordan(?). I've seen them before - I just don't know their names.

You are right, they are from Jordan. According to the sermon of the protestant priest, the bridal couple has connections to Jordan and Israel, and they are trying to promote the peace process in that region.

The wedding - is catholic and protestant right?? Not only one of it... It look like special mixture of both. Am I right??

Two questions:

1. this may be totally off base but were the man and woman singing earlier on the upper level singing in Hebrew? I thought I recognised a few words. Perhaps part of the peace process and involvement of the couple?
EDIT: The man who sung is wearing a yarmulke now that I can see him, so i'm assuming they were singing in Hebrew. I think it's great they had things from different religions in their wedding.

2. what were the items the Protestant priest gave to the couple a few minutes ago? One was a book, another looked like an olive leaf...

Thanks!

He's Protestant, she's Catholic, and the wedding is ecumenical (sp?) - a blend of both.

I think the book they received was a Bible but I'm not sure.

Who is escorting the Prince's sister?

And what did they just say about Grand Duchess Maria Vladirimovna and her son?

Now maybe the question will be answered whether Friedrich Wilhelm (son of GF´s uncle Friedrich Wilhelm and Ehrengard v. Rheden) indeed married Anna von Salza and Lichtenau. Anybody know whether they attended?

Prince Hassan and Princess Sarvath of Jordan are there as well.
