Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia and Grand Duchess Kira Kirillovna of Russia - 1938

In 1938 orince Luois Ferdinand of Prussia, grandson of Emperor Wilhelm II and future head of the Prussian royal house married Grand DUchess Kira Kirillovna of Russia, daughter of Grand Duke Kyril of Russia (self-proclaimed head of the Romanov family in exile) and Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh & Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

The couple married on 4 May in Potsdam and on 7 May celebrated the wedding again at Huis Doorn in Doorn, The Netherlands, where Emperor Wilhelm II lived in exile.

The civil wedding took place at the Cecillenhof Palace in Potsdam.
Kira and Louis Ferdinand were married in the Palace's library.
The groom's father, Crown Prince Wilhelm and the bride's father were the only witnesses.
