When will Emma be christened?

Anita from all the beginning wasn´t slim. Look at her legs, arms and fingers! And if you aren´t slim by nature you´ll have more difficulties to loose your baby-weight after the birth...not to forget that she´s a "late" mother which might cause even more problems concerning weight.

Well, she was not tiny nor over weight. Either she still has a significant tummy from her previous baby, or she is a few months pregnant with the next.

The van Vollenhovens certainly seem to enjoy the social events lately. I stick to my opinion that it seems rather weird to see royals posing on a red carpet, but well... at least the dress is nice.
The musical itself should be ghastly though, I know a person who went there (as a journalist) and he said that dispite all the action, special effects and even the good singers, the songs themselves are rather weak and boring.

Not so weird Marengo,mother-in-law Princess Margriet and Prof.Pieter attended many premieres at the Scheveningen Circus theatre, and elsewhere,in the past, posing and all, being strong advocates in promoting of the countries cultural life .
You can ask who used red carpets first throughout history, the Royals or todays wannabees...
It's more that I detest the extremely pushy and rude van Tellingen duo after seeing them "at work" several times at Tuschinski here.

Promoting Dutch culteral life is a discription I can live with But when they start attending an xxth birthday party of Connie Breukhoven (tacky Dutch socialite), I wll be back here and tell you ' told you so' .

There's also his son Dennis, I believe. So he's not multiplying that fast.

I wonder what skin infection the prince has, I have no idea about the seriousness of the illness he has, I wish him all the best.

No,not yet,and I don't expect it to be untill late august/september either, and certainly not untill Princess Margriet,P-C's mother, recovered from her hernia of which she suffers at present.

I can imagine that there will be a christmas-christening. It is tradition.
With princess Ariane's christening already on October 20th, I can hardly believe that Emma's christening will be celebrated before Ariane's.
Sometimes you need to recover half a year from a hernia.

Not 100% sure but it might very well be a form of psoriasys, from the looks of it,it can explain the rash he had.Can be both painfull and extremely itchy, drives you bonkers really.

An update about the couple, according to a boulevard magazine the couple will be moving to Noordwijk soon, a coast resort north of The Hague.
In the mean time Anita went to the Dutch fashion Awards 2007, have a look here. She can be found around 1/4 of the album and her husband was there too. No idea when this was though.
She also attended the opening of a Cartier sho, located in the....PC Hooftstraat (where else?), in Amsterdam:

Lovely woman, but unfortunately the clothes are not all that flattering. None the less, it appears that she is a very warm woman.

Thanks for the pictures Marengo! Wish we saw more of Anita - also wonder how her fashion biz is doing?

Apparently Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita will move to this villa in Noordwijk.
In the mean time, the prince will be running a marathon on Honolulu today. Some quotes from the Honolulu Advetiser:
Quote:
"I think a marathon is a very true way to bring attention to a charity," (...) "If you train hard and push hard and try to run a marathon, wouldn't it be great if you could do something and raise attention for a good cause?"
|
Quote:
"The seas are becoming more empty," (...) "Not because of global warming but from fishing. We are helping species disappear. I think that is undeniable."
|
Quote:
"I train in double gear," (...) "I keep myself extremely hot. I look like an eskimo running over our pathways here, trying to simulate the heat."
|
And an article from the Honolulu Marathon website:
Quote:
Dutch Prince Set For Second Honolulu Run
A member of the Dutch royal family will run the Honolulu Marathon for the second time Sunday as an advocate for two social causes.
"It was great to be here in 2002,'' said Prince Pieter-Christiaan. "It was a great atmosphere and I loved the friendly reception. The race was well-organized but low key.''
|
Anota is there too and Pieter-Christiaan and Anita visited the widow of ´Soldier of Orange´ Erik Hazelhof Roelfsema on Hawaii.
