He had me laughing there, talking about pictures of Maurits and family and showing just the monkeys ;). Strange that the normal press wasn't invited but only the more popular press, RTL, SBS and the gossip mags. I am looking forward to the pictures though.

The website of Blauw Bloed has a picture of Prince Maurits & Family:

Look here.

And Royalfan Vivian has some pictures on her webiste too, click here. (Courtesy: Welkom in de wereld van de Oranjes!). Her website also has an excellent retrospective item o the marriage of Maurits and Marilene, click here.

Prince Maurits and Princess Marilene celebrated their 10th wedding anniversairy in the Supperclub on the Nieuwezijdsvoorburgwal, close to the palace on Dam square.

AT5 shows something about it, watch this clip after 10.40 minutes.
Maxima is wearing the same dress as on Queensday, but without the jacet. Other people that can be seen: Prince Willem-Alexander, Princess Margriet, Pieter van Vollenhoven, Prince Constantijn, Princess Laurentien, Prince Bernhard, Princess Annette, Prince Pieter-Christiaan and Princess Anita. Another guest: Vanessa Loudon.

Supperclub is a bit for 'wannabe's' btw. With some curious performances...

Nice to see Prince Maurits and Princess Marilene out and about. A pity we don't see them more frequently. I believe Prince Maurits is a patron of something to do with Tall ships.

It's a pity indeed that we don't see them more often. They are such a good looking couple. But that is their choice, they have got "real" jobs and leave the limelight to Beatrix and her family.

:wub:Lucien, you are soooo right. Prince Mauritz is a "walking, hunky, piece of candy". His family is beautiful as well.:whistling:

According to Joris on the Benelux Royals MB, Prince Maurits attended the opening of a new shop of Oger in Antwerp. Oger already has a shop for gentlemen's tailored suits in AMsterdam, where prince Maurits, his brothers and much of the Dutch real estate agents, bankers and other nouveau riche get their suits.
Apparently Prince Laurent also attended the opening.

Prince Maurits will most probably participate again in this year's edition of the Heineken Regatta that will be held from 3 to 10 March on St. Maarten in the Caribean. The theme of this year's regatta is: 'Serious Fun'. The yacht on which prine Maurits and 6 friends will sail has been re-baptised from D-line to AEC/Scarlet/Oger, in order to keep the sponsors happy...

Does his family usually travel with him when he goes to regattas? I would imagine that it is probably exciting for the children to see their father racing.

I think he travels there with friends, who also participate in the sailing team.

On May 9th princess Marilene will open the exhibition 'Vermeer, Rembrandt and the Golden Age of Dutch Art: Masterpieces from the Rijksmuseum' in the Vancouver Art Gallery in Vancouver, Canada.
