princess Marilene and other employees of the Rijksmuseum have been photographed for the magazine Beau Monde:
Beau Monde Backstage: Kunstvrouwen van het Rijksmuseum - Beaumonde.nl
And for the NOS she explains what her favourite piece of art in the museum is:
Het Rijksmuseum en Prinses Marilene - Vorsten, vroeger en nu
Her favourite is 'Girl in White Kimono' by Dutch painter George Breitner. She (and her collegues) all wear dresses with their favourite painting on it, especially for the opening. She also explains the 'Friends of the Rijksmuseum' initiative that she is involved with.

Prince Maurits has been appointed today by his cousin King Willem-Alexander as his Aide-de-Camp Extraordinary. The King also appointed Prince Maurits captain-lieutenant of the Dutch Royal Navy.As Aide-de-Camp Extraordinary to the King, Prince Maurits can attend and represent His Majesty at military ceremonies. He can also have on his uniform the monogram of the King.

If I don't mistake, Maurits's fahter Pieter van Vollenhoven is/has been an Aide-de-Camp Extraordinary to Queen Beatrix.

Indeed, Pieter had the same position. A nice gesture of the new King to his cousin, and perhaps also to his uncle and aunt.

Beautiful gesture on the part of the new King! Maurits will do a wonderful job, just like his father and mother before him. Can't wait to see what else the new King has planned. Such a wonderful new adventure for us all to watch.

Prior to a performance Dutch DJ Hardwell, also known as Robbert van de Corput, has posed with ladies of the Rijksmuseum's development department, including Princess Marilene, in front of the painting "Nachtwacht" by Dutch painter Rembrandt in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam on February 13, 2014.

Yesterday the organisation of SAIL Amsterdam announced that Prince Maurits will be the patron of the organisation. He succeeds his cousin, king Willem-Alexander, who cancelled all his patronages when he became king.

In 2015 the next SAIL event will be held (it happens only once every five years).

The title is Adjudant (in buitengewone dienst) and translates as Aide-de-Camp (Extraordinary).
The rank is Kapitein-Luitenant der Zee (In German: Fregattenkapitän) which translates as Captain-Lieutenant-at-Sea but in the Commonwealth Countries it is the equivalent of Commander.

Good to see that some of W-A's old patronages will continue to have a family member as their patron.
