The Shangri-La hotel is in the old palace of Roland Bonaparte IIRC, later owned by his daughter Marie who was married to prince George of Greece & Denmark.

I hardly recognised the prince. He escorted his 2nd cousin Maria do Carmo Calém who is a granddaughter of the late Princess Teresa de Orléans-Bragança.

There were also two princes of Croÿ-Solre present.

Interesting that the grandson of King Simeon of Bulgaria is described as HRH Prince of Sachsen-Coburg-Gotha and not Prince of Bulgaria.

A villa located in the region of Sintra was put up for sale for a value of around eight million euros. In the advertisement, it was stated that the owner was Don Duarte Pio and that, in addition to the size and all the adjoining estates, he had in the past deserved the preference of the kings of Spain.

The announcement of the sale of the house caught the dukes of Bragança by surprise. Contacted by Correio da Manhã, Isabel de Heredia, wife of D. Duarte, assured that the house of Sintra "is not for sale". "This is not our house, it's a mistake," he said.
The same newspaper tried to get in touch with the agency responsible for the publication of the advertisement, Real Estate Answer Convergent, but the only response was that "who had this information was the person who raised the house" and was no longer part of the team , so they did not know how to "answer the question" that was put to them.

The real house that is for sale is located near the dwelling of the Dukes of Bragança and gives the name of Quinta Nova de S. Pedro, dating from 1963. The same news says that this once belonged to Imelda Marcos, wife of the the late Philippines dictator Ferdinand Marcos, known for his large shoe collection, who was sentenced in November last year to up to 77 years in prison after being found guilty of seven counts of corruption.

The Duke of Bragança and his children gave an interview to the magazine "Sábado".

Ah, re-planting the trees is an important task indeed. So much of the countryside is still barren after the fires of previous years. Is prince Afonso also studying besides the work for the firebrigade?

Why is princess Maria Francisca making films? Is she enrolled in the film academy?

It's great that Afonso is working with planting trees after last summer's terrible forest fires in Europe, especially Portugal.
Maria Francisca could just be interested in filmography and media though I agree that it seems likely that she may be studying the subject.

Afonso studied Politics and International Relations. Maria Francisca made the short films but did not participate as an actress.

These last events are related to the Afonso "Reforestation Real" project. That is why Afonso was only there. In recent years, Afonso has assumed more prominence in the representation of the Portuguese Royal House. Afonso is close to Portuguese monarchists and monarchist associations. Afonso also represents the Royal House in the "Prince of the Beira Awards of Biomedical Sciences".

The Duke of Bragança continues to represent the Royal House in various events.
