no it means that it is official but not equal marriage if it's not official then the children of such marriage would be illegitimate but a morganatic marriage means That the children are considered legitimate for all purposes except succession rights, titles, precedence and entailed property .

Ah gotcha..thanks!

These earrings are from Danelians Diamonds. She has worn many pieces from them over the years.

Prince Philipp and Tatiana are related. Although the closest blood line comes from Philipp's father Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark, and not from his mother Princess Alice von Battenberg.

Princess Tatiana's grandmother, Countess Ellinka Karin Harriet von Einsiedel (b. 1922) and Prince Philipp (b. 1921) are 5th cousins once removed, which makes Philipp and Princess Tatiana 5th cousins 3 times removed.

They are both descendants of Friedrich II, Landgraf von Hessen-Kassel (1720-1785) and Princess Mary of Great Britain (1723-1772), which is their closest mutual blood line.

Through this same line, Tatiana is 7th cousin once removed with her husband Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark.

Isn't she 'Princess Tatiana'? The 'Tatiana, Princess Nikolaos' seems rather British and not the way the Greece royal family themselves addresses her.

I'm not a big fan but it did somewhat work with 'the look' she was trying to create.

Has kind of a 'gladiator' or 'Trojan war' kind of movie costume feel to the jewelry. Kind of works with her dress and styling, but not my favorite at all.

Doestnt help I am not a huge fan of yellow gold.

You are right. She is Princess Tatiana "officially" after her marriage, not Princess Nikolaos.

In Orthodox dynasties there is no such thing as Princess + her husbands name. It sounds ridiculous when you try to translate such addressing from English to native language. They are always addressed by their own name.
