Queen Sonja Of Norway Attends A Media Briefing Prior To The

Victoria that is a great closeup pic of a lovely brooch. Seems to be Rubies and diamonds of a flower with twisted ribbon. What a pity she doesn't wear it more often. Would love to see more closeups of this brooch without the watermark. Also it looks like an old style of a jewel rather than modern. Perhaps it was bought at an auction by the King. Its very frustrating not knowing the history behind some of these magnificent jewels.

That pic screems "photoshop", I'm pretty sure that Queen Sonja never wore this bandeau. And even the proportions of the bandeau don't fit, imo.

You are right, Tilia. It's a photoshop-picture.

Sonja didn't wear any tiara during the event the picture was taken. Only the beautiful emerald necklace.

This is my favorite tiara in the NRF! I love it for it's unique design and history. It has such a beautiful design. I think the floral motifs and laurel wreaths are exquisite. It is a grand and magnificent tiara that is perfect and suitable for a queen.

I really like this diamond tiara as well and wish Sonja would wear it more often. This is absolutely magnificent and while she looks wonderful in her emeralds, I think this suits her just as well. Here's a nice dual photo of her wearing the QJ tiara:

I much prefer this tiara as a necklace. I really don't like it as a tiara because of the small size and shape. I feel that this tiara should be extended to both sides a little bit. Nevertheless, I think the tiara/necklace is very beautiful, timeless, and elegant. Simply lovely.

Queen Maud Norway was a grandchild of Queen Victoria. It is no wonder if some of Queen Victoria's jewels found their way to Norway.
