The amethysts look surprisingly good with red. One of my favourite Swedish tiaras. I guess we wonn't be seeing this tiara again at the Nobels or one of the princesses will choose it?
 
The amethysts look great with red. I hope she will wear this tiara more frequently.

I have an idea about it being one of the numerous brooches of Queen Victoria. I saw a pic of it on Facebook yesterday but since its a closed group I cant link it.
 
Not a personal fan of the antlers design of it but Queen Silvia does wear it quite a bit so it must be a favourite of hers.

Hello Ruby! Even though I know it's a piece that is difficult to be put off but I still like it. Happy to see it again.
 
The ruby tiara is quite high for being so narrow in diameter. But Silvia managed to place it well and she got a good hairstyle for it. It's so rarely used, that I'm always delighted to see it out and about.

Not sure but it should be about 9-10 years since she has last worn it. She used it at a State Visit to Portugal for the return Dinner and for an incoming State Visit (i belive from Greece but not sure) around 2008/2009.

Its a difficult one to get right but she pulled it off well with her hairstyle,its not a favourite of mine.

Queen Silvia wore the tiara at the state visit of the President of Portugal to Sweden on 1st October 2013.

If my files are correct she wore it a few times between 2006 and 2013.

So for a few years it was on rotation, before miraculously disappearing for nearly five years. I hope to see it more often now.
 
I think her hairstyle yesterday was perfect for the tiara. One of her best gala-hairstyles lately.
 
I don't know the story behind it but it reminds me the logo of Athens 2004. They're exactly same......? Maybe she purchased/was gifted it in 2004? It's a lovely design in terms of both a logo or brooch anyway.
