As usual Queen Silvia never disappoints and knows how they to do things properly.

We can be thankful for Queen Silvia, who is now one of the very few -if not the only- royal lady keeping up standards. Two tiara events is a rare treat for state visits these days.

May it be an inspiration for other Courts! When I see how many staff travels with the - for an example- the Dutch royal couple for their "return events" I do not understand why they hire a representative venue for just listening to chamber music or watching a ballet. Just organize a Banquet like the Swedes still do!

And if it is too complicated (cooks etc) just hire the Plaza Athenée in Paris or the Dorchester in London, whatever, for a Return Banquet!

May Queen Victoria of Sweden continue this lovely tradition and may Queen Catharina-Amalia and Queen Elisabeth re-discover it!

The Nine Prong Tiara is my least favourite Swedish tiara,however the earrings and brooch was very lovely.

One of them obviously a gift from her grandchild, there reads "mormor" = grandmother. We see also the golden one where are the names of all her grandchildren.
