There once was a member on here by the name of GillW who kept a data base on the Queens brooches. I tried to keep count of them once and got to 145 before giving up. I believe there are over two hundred now, depending if you count the pairs as one or as two. As Her Majesty will sometimes wear only one of a pair such as the Greville ruby and diamond brooches often worn by the Queen Mother. And then there are the Queen Victoria bow brooches of which there are three and one was lent to the Duchess of York.
Now do you count Queen Mary's stomacher as a stomacher and a brooch as the bottom half can be worn as a brooch. The ears of wheat hair clips can also be worn as brooches.
Do you remember when President Obama gifted HM with a Moss Agate brooch. An interesting piece.

I do remember the excellent work that GillW used to do to keep us all informed.

So far, we have seen HM use some of her usual favourite brooches whilst in Scotland. We have seen the Pearl Trefoil, the larger of the Nizam rose brooches and a ceremonial badge.

Elizabeth II's Bulgarian Brooch

Ina Assa, a Bulgarian designer who has worked for some of the household names in fashion has created a brooch inspired by Bulgarian folklore patterns and embroidery. Originally intended for First Lady Desislava Radeva, the brooch was made of silver and Swarovski crystals. It was the First Lady's idea to present the brooch to the British Queen, probably when they met at Buckingham Palace in 2018.

Obviously the brooch is not in The Queen's preferred style and materials, but it's a sweet jewel with an Art Deco vibe.

You can see a couple of pictures (including the original cloth, very popular in Bulgarian homes in the second half of the XX c.) here - https://m.24chasa.bg/ojivlenie/artic...FouJ78DcLhh8n4

The Queen's brooch was a wedding gift to Princess Mary of Teck in 1893 from her in-laws, The Prince and Princess of Wales.

Indeed. Interestingly, HM did not start using this brooch till about 2015, but has used it a fair few times since.

The Russian sapphire and diamond brooch is really beautiful and great choice with the blue coat too.

I do love the large sapphire and diamond stones in the brooch, but I am not a fan of the overall design.

HM in a sapphire and diamond brooch to greet the Sultan of Oman and his wife.

Was this not the brooch that Princess Anne was pictured wearing recently?

What was the brooch the Queen wore to the Thanksgiving memorial? I imagine it had personal significance for the occasion.

It was the Grima carved ruby brooch, a gift from The Duke. https://royal-magazin.de/england/que...esent-duke.htm

The Queen's jewels on display at Buckingham Palace.

My favourite are the Queen Mother's 4 CARTIER bracelets given by King George VI.
Don't think they are worn by family members these days. Wonder how much they would go for at the Big Auction Houses.
