Camilla seems to have lost her taste for pearl chokers lately. Quite a shame because her collection is quite extensive.

How many jewels did Queen Mary purchase from Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna and Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna?

To be honest, I think it is mostly the dictates of the season that and type of event that has caused them to be banished. Thoughout the winter she has worn button to the neck coats and suits with various scars and the evening events seem to have yet to recover from the effects of Covid. However, we may be lucky as Camilla often wears them for daywear but, isn't always a but, if she wears the big ones she would not be able to wear many of the historic brooches because she'd look like a Christmas tree.

I think that is correct. It has been a cold winter, and Camilla has worn coats with closed necks and used scarfs to keep herself warm.

That said, in recent years, she has been wearing the Kiki pendant and aniother pendant most times, so often does skip the pearls if it isn't a very formal event.

A really beautiful brooch and was perfect for the outfit.

For the trip to Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham today, Queen Camilla wore the same sapphire, diamond, pearl and ruby earrings as she had worn yesterday to the Commonwealth Day service. She also wore her ballerina brooch that she has had for many years.

Love the ballerina brooch.
Some background information about it.

The Queen wore a very interesting pair of earrings that I haven't seen previously for the Commonwealth Day Service at the Abbey. They were made using sapphires with a surround of diamonds and rubies, and a pearl drop.

The earring are clearly old, and my guess is that these have emerged from the royal vaults. They are very much of the style of earrings the Queen uses.

Scroll down on the post at The Court Jeweller to see good pictures of the earrings.

Lovely brooch. Did it once belong to the late Queen?

Edited to say, I just read the text accompanying the image which if you scroll down discusses the provenance of the brooch.
