:previous: I'm afraid I don't like bejewelled wedding rings, or engagement rings with little stones all around the band. It's probably my age; I'm just not programmed for them.

i am the same - i prefer plain wedding bands and plain engagement ring bands where the diamonds (or any other stone chosen) can shine :)
however, the set looks good on sofia.

I wasn't a fan of her engagement ring either. It's too trendy for my taste, like there's nothing special about it. I know a couple of my friends who have similar rings. I guess I prefer more of the antique looking engagement rings...but her wedding band is lovely. It's a little too matchy matchy for me but it suits her. To each is own!

Very interesting modern design. I quite like them, and I think that they work well with loose hair. So she's wearing Swedish jewellery designers. Good start! (But a necklace would have worked well with that plain blouse.)

Different but very nice earrings.

I love them. I couldn't wear them myself but on Sofia with that particular white statement top they looked very elegant but minimalist.

I was hoping she would wear a beautiful pair of earrings, maybe diamond or the emerald ones she's worn before at the official dinner. Or even something from the royal vaults. Her statement earrings were nice but I was hoping for something more.

Not my style but how they suit her and her outfit !

I quite like them, but I think they'd be better with her hair up, but that's mainly because I know my long hair would get caught in the things so I am assuming hers would have at some stage, too.

Sofia's rings. Her wedding ring is nice, but I don't like her engagement ring.

Hmm, I have to admit that the notion of a wedding band made of a total circle of diamonds doesn't sound too comfortable to me. Here there is only a channel setting or raised stones arching across the exposed top of the ring.

As to engagement rings, most people seem to go for classic solitaire diamonds with absolutely nothing but the one stone, or a London Bridge setting of either diamonds, coloured stones or a mixture of both. Sofia's is certainly too ornate for my personal taste but there is no right or wrong ring. In this photo it looks like the diamonds do not go right around the engagement ring.

These rings look downright uncomfortable to wear and as far as the wedding ring is concerned, Victoria's wedding ring is much the same although her engagement ring looks to be a classic solitaire.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the encircled bands either....I like more old fashioned simple/elegant styles though.

I actually have an eternity band like this and because the diamonds are so small...to me...it's not uncomfortable. But I could see how a band with bigger diamonds, like a carat or so big would be uncomfortable. I think it also depends on how the diamonds are set. If there's enough gold in between the diamonds it's a little more cushiony.

Yuck. So many beautiful watches out there. Victoria has a similar one.

I don't like it also. It looks more for men and not for women's watch. Victoria is nicer but I agree with the rubies is similar.

What diamond frame does Sofia have for her family order?
Its not Lilians i thuoght we would see on Sofia

I wonder if it is a new frame she received. Or could there have been other unused frames lying around? Currently eight frames are in use, that must be more than there was in a long time.

I think the frame is due to the class of her being married to a Swedish prince. It's a bit smaller than the ones used by born Swedish princesses.

Royal expert Roger Lundgren said at the broadcast of Carl Philip's wedding, that the frames are recycled. I thought Sofia would get Lilian's, but Sofia's isn't Lilian's, it looks totally new:
Sofia's, she has a really big crown at the frame

Yes looks like you could be right about Victoria wearing Sibyllas old frame. Any thoughts about Madeleines frame? To me at least it looks quite similar to the one Ingeborg wore during her lifetime.

CP Victoria's frame has a rather individual setting, so I too would say that it is Princess Sibylla's. But the other frames are more difficult to identify, especially because we lack good pics of the former queens and princesses.

:previous:The same thought myself. 6900 euros for these earrings;

Why is Sofia is getting new pieces of jewelry? Wouldn't she have access to the royal collection by now? Her wedding tiara was a gift, not one of the Bernadotte tiaras. She only wore the earrings that were part of a stomacher.

@Dman - Sofia's family order is smaller because she is the wife of a Swedish prince. It's called the 2nd class (or grade)
