Its a wonder King Juan Carlos never bought back his grandmothers tiara, would have been a nice addition to the Spanish jewels.

It would be a beautiful tiara for Queen Letizia far more dazzling than that Ansorena Fleur de Lys one.

It looks like 2 tiaras were merged together and don't really do anything for each other which is a pity.

Infanta Pilar's Sapphire Tiara is said to have belonged to her maternal grandmother,Princess Louise of Orléans, would love to see back in the family jewel chest to add a bit of variation.

Infanta Margarita also had a rarely seen Pearls and diamond tiara it was last seen in the late 90's.

The sapphire tiara is a significant piece and would be a much needed addition to a collection that has lots of diamonds and pearls, but few substantive colored stones.

Infanta Pilar's family may have a need for her jewels though and I understand she might have wanted her children to have them (in fact, Spanish law makes them natural heirs unless she sold the jewels in life, doesn't it ?).

Hopefully, her children and King Felipe can come to an agreement if the King is indeed interested of course.

Perhaps some of the smaller pieces but I doubt we'll ever see Doña Simoneta Gómez-Acebo or sister inlaw at a Spanish Court Tiara Gala ,Simoneta works for Cartier and probably has enough looking at jewels.

Doña Simoneta Gómez-Acebo did wear the Cartier Loop tiara on her wedding day back in 1990.

The only time whe have Simoneta Gomez-Acebo and two of her sisters-in-law wearing a tiara where on their resepctice Wedding Days. Even in the spanish noble Families they only use to wear tiaras for weddings. So i don't see when one of the children of Infanta Pilar should wear the sapphire tiara. Let's hope it will not get auctioned.

It would be very nice to see a few jewels of I.Pilar back in the main line. especially the Tiara and other Sapphire jewels. But tbh i doubt Felipe inherited them or he will buy them (if pilars children will sell them) Time will tell..

Yes I doubt any of Pilar's children will have use of the tiara of Princess Louise of Orléans ,sadly I think it will be sold off.

With several children of her own, it's completely unlikely that Felipe inherited the tiara. He may purchase it privately from the late infanta's children. But once it's put up for auction, it's as good as gone. I'd rule out Felipe buying something that has the price tag all over the internet.

Unless it stays with her son the 3rd Viscount de la Torre as part of the family jewels I can't see them hanging onto it which is sad.

12 years ago at the 70th birthday celebrations for King Juan Carlos Infanta Margarita wore an impressive-looking set with light-coloured stones, possibly citrines. Is anything else known about them or have they been seen before or since that event?
