Yes, it does! I was just thinking that.
Wow..behind them is Roger Moore, Gregory Peck, Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant....since Albert has hair, I would say mid-80's....
Since there are so many of her former co-stars from the movies..maybe a benefit in her honor?

However at least one of her mothers jewels PC has wore, the pins that make the La mer society tiara, the one that was given to Grace by the "society of les bains de la mer", the tiara itself is ugly, but it can be converted into pins, and PC wore them this year at the red cross gala. The tiara that Grace wore at PC wedding with Junot, PG bought it for that ocassion, she wore and sometime later she sold it.

Hsh1969 you are exactly right! The brooches are on her shoulders, I wish they were on the front so we could see them better. They look beautiful.

If Caroline didn't sell her mother's jewels then how come she never wears them? How come we haven't seen them on anyone since Grace died?
And I actually read it in a book that she sold Grace's jewelry but I have no way of knowing if that is true.

Do you think that Stephanie, who has never worn a tiara in her life would not ever wear costume jewels?! Even crown princesses like Maxima and Mathilde wear costume jewels.

Little confused.... I didn't say anything about costume jewels But I wouldn't put it past ANY princess to not wear costume jewelry. Even princess Diana wore costume jewelry, she was a big fan of it and knowing that in the 80's and all, that stuff was so grandious and a little obnoxious for my taste. I have nothing against it, it certainly is more reasonable then buying big, expensive diamonds everytime you want a new piece.

Let's not stress ourselves folks. Apparently Ranier left a will in the region of $5 billion dollars so I don't reckon that any of Grace's legacy has been sold. I've got a hunch that if and when Albert marries his mother's jewels will suddenly re-emerge and if they don't it's certainly not because his family need the money.

i read in this book that Grace had left jewels for Albert's future wife. so yes, Albert's wife will inherit some of Grace's jewels.

I found this page on the Grimaldi's jewelry Royal-magazin.de site, it's got some good info too, I never knew Caroline's Sapphire necklace was orginally Charlotte's, I thought it was new. The opening page also has in interesting turquois necklace that I've never seen Grace wear before. Check it out!

Caroline inherited all of her mother's jewels, which she shares with Stephanie. I doubt Albert's future wife (assuming he ever marries) would wear them.
Rainier left a fortune valued at $3 billion, so I don't think we have to worry about Albert not being able to buy whatever jewels he wants for his future wife.

From what I understand, Caroline ended up with a lot of her grandmother's jewelry. I don't think that any of it went to Grace via Rainier. Charlotte was known for not having been fond of her daughter-in-law. So, it's not surprising that some of Caroline's pieces may have once belonged to Princess Charlotte.

It's been a while since anyone posted something here... I've come across the rumours about Princess Caroline selling Princess Grace's jewels several times on this forum. I guess we can now safely say that they are nothing more than that, just rumours. Since Princess Grace Her jewels were on dispaly at The Grimaldi Forum last year and are now on display at the exhibition Les Annees Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco. pictures of the Princess Her jewels, (among many other things) can be found on the fashion spot. ( Don't know the page, but this is filled with amazing pictures of Princess Grace)

I heard and read in other forum that that pic is photoshopped, as she (supposedly) never wore a tiara. But the source might be wrong.

Maybe Albert's wedding is a good occasion for Stephanie to wear a tiara for the first time.
What do you think about:
Stephanie with the SBM tiara from Grace
Caroline with the fringe tiara from Charlotte
Charlene whith the pearl tiara form Charlotte

With those eyebrows and the the super pink lips, I dont think that is a recent pic. Old or new, get that Princess to a waxing salon for those caterpillers!

Of these three Aquarius ladies I think the two Caro & Cw might wear tiaras but we are not going to see Stephanie easily in one. I do not know why she has not worn one . Let's hope . That is all we can do.
I think your choices of tiaras for each of the ladies is perfect

Not very likely. Most likely the Wedding will be a mronging Wedding with hats. Perhaps if there is a Gala at the Opea like at the enthronement. But even in 2005 Caroline wore no tiara only the fringe as necklace and Stephanie didn't attend. It was a bit strange with the dresscode then as some of the foreign guests like Victoria of Sweden and Sophie of Wessex wore tiaras. I think the reason that Stephanie wore no tiara is that there are not much tiara Events in Monaco. Caroline usually wear tiaras only for Events abroad or in the past for photoshoots.

Regarding all the Grimaldi jewelry, it will certainly be most interesting to see which pieces will turn up on the future consort of The Reigning Prince.
No information about who inherited or owns what is confirmed.
Every story told - Ranier's mother bypassed Grace and left everything to Caroline / Grace left everything to Caroline / Caroline sold stuff / Everything is owned by Albert and only on loan to Caroline - is strictly speculation.
I very much doubt that either the four or five Grimaldi tiaras nor other important pieces from Princess Charlotte and Princess Grace personally belong to Caroline now.
Time will tell.
