Stunning tiara and fit for a queen, shame its no longer in the jewel chest of the Grand Ducal House.

Tiara worn by Baroness Emilie von Dornburg, born Hrzic de Topuska, morganatic wife of Prince Heinrich von Hessen und Rhine:

I see it's floral tiara. It does a bit remind me of wedding tiara worn by Princess Yvonne von Hessen, born Countess Szapary, but, of course, these are different lines of the Hessen family.

The Kochert Tiara

This diamond tiara was designed by the House of Kochert in 1901. It was made as a gift from Emperor Francis Joseph I of Austria to his grandniece, Archduchess Maria Anna of Austria.

Princess Margarete Karola of Saxony, later Fürstin Hohenzollern with a tiara

It seems that Princess Birgitta had the tiara at the wedding of Margrethe and Henrik in 1967

What happened to this tiara? Has it been seen since anywhere?

I don't think that it has been seen in public since Princess Birgitta wore it in 1967.

The emerald tiara has an interesting provenance, it is supposed that it is an heirloom from Queen Maria II of Portugal. https://www.rct.uk/collection/403691...rtugal-1819-53

Both Princess Margarethe of Saxony and Prince Friedrich of Hohenzollern were great-grandchildren of Maria II. D. Maria Ana de Braganca had married King Georg I of Saxony and D. Antónia de Braganca had married Prince Leopold of Hohenzollern. But I believe that the tiara had been inherited by D. Maria Ana because it looks like Princess Elisabeth of Thurn und Taxis had worn this tiara on her wedding to Margareta's brother Friedrich Christian. I think that their sibling Princess Maria Alix of Saxony has also worn it on her wedding day, but she married Prince Franz Joseph of Hohenzollern and thus became her sister Margarethe's sister-in-law.

Wow, I just never knew the connection. It is very interesting to know the provenance of royal/noble jewels, especially tiaras!

I think it probably still remains with her on the Basilica of San Evre de Nancy in France, it seems to be the place where her body is resting in peace, and as far as I could read, some relics are with her in this long journey.

Those pearls on the tiara are really stunning. It's always nice so see some jewels from the lesser known families. I wonder if this tiara is still in the family, but most likely it's long been gone.

Don't know about that, but if you look at some pictures of Princess Marianne zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn you could see some stunning pearls, such as these huge ones hanging on her ears:

They must worth a fortune. And a picture of some lesser ones, always combined with some big pearl necklace which could also be inheritance:

That bandeau looks like it has a motive of alternating blossoms and leaves, and it would also work as a necklace or even a massive bracelet. But I couldn't find anything about it in my files.

So far, as I can remember, I have seen them only on Marianne, so I assume it was probably a gift from her husband or from her own family, as Mayr von Melnhof's were also rich...

Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn family was very rich due to their large possessions which they had in Russia, Poland etc. so I somehow assume those large pearls were inherited from Sayn family...
