I think the necklace and earrings are not being shown at their best with the gold decorative aspects to this gown. A block colour dress would be much better to showcase their shape and delicacy.

Agreed the design would pop better against solid dress.

But I think she chose it as the shapes on the necklace almost match the flowers on her dress.

The Alhambra set the Duchess is wearing, looks like its Mother-of-pearl. with the motifs smaller in scale than the Duchess of Cornwall's ?

Personally I'd wager they are a present from Charles, he has bought the same for Camilla and is known to purchase quite a lot from Van Cleef.

Yeah, I’d consider Alhambra as more a cocktail dress jewelry not evening gown. They get a bit lost with the glittery gown.
This made me go googling to see if The Queen has anything in yellow gold that might have worked:

I could see the earrings and a bracelet, but not the necklaces.

And Diana had these:

Camilla has two different ones, one all diamond (earrings) and one in green malachite (earrings and necklace):

I just don't see the attraction for this Alhambra line. I haven't seen one that I like whether it is worn by Princess Grace, Princess Charlene, the Duchess of Cornwall or the Duchess of Cambridge.

The duchess is slowly building up an impressive jewel chest of her own,I wasn't mad about the necklace with this gown but the earrings and ring and very lovely.

Thank you for showing what the queen has. I think the gold and diamonds earrings and necklace she wears with the Indian inspired dress, silk shantung, would work for Katherine.maybe they would have tp lower the necklace a little.
Camilla looks wonderful in her alahambra pieces. They are dressier.yes, katherines look more daytime or cocktail. Wonder what the ring is, a citrine.

She probably had to wear it to honor the person who gave it to her.

I prefer to see ladies in the main line wearing unique and historic items, but diplomacy is a tricky wicket.

These two would work! "anything in yellow gold that might have worked" yes exactly.

From Her Majesty's Jewel Vault: The Emerald Tassel Parure
I would love to see this parure too.

I do not care for this new jewelry...maybe it would look better with a different dress but it's rather 'meh' for me at this point.

Oh no Kate has been given the Alhambra jewellery as well - not my taste at all. I would suspect Charles as the giver as he likes it and Camilla wears her sets a lot.

I was interested in the gold pendant Kate wore today. Does anyone know anything about it?
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/...chess-sussex-rnli-swansea-wales-a4353256.html

She wore it for the first time in January, it has the initials G, C and L on it (seems like something she’d get as a Christmas or birthday gift).
Apparently it’s by Daniella Draper:

Thank you for the information. A lovely, personal item and the red dress sets it off beautifully.

Pls - no more Alhambra - it is becoming slightly boring.... and I agree, this set would be better with a daytime look - not this very festive dress. Sigh.... could I pls get access to the Queens vault? I am sure I could come up with something more glittery ...

The shamrock earrings are super cute.

I'm guessing that today's shamrock necklace (paired with the green print dress) is a part of a set with the earrings. I absolutely love it and could easily see myself wearing it often. Does anyone happen to know the company behind the silver shamrock jewelry?

I love that we have finally seen the whole demi-parure. When she first wore the necklace she had her hair tumbling down in curls mostly obscuring her earrings and I am guessing the longer matching pair would have quickly become entangled in her hair.

It is lovely watching the evolution of Catherine's jewellery flair now she has discovered she can look just as lovely with her hair up on occasion.
