Royal expert Jenny Alexandersson at her social media
"I got a question / comment about the gold-colored ring at the top of the crown princess' ear. There is no ring in the ear but an aid to be able to wear the heavy antique earrings more easily. The gemstones weigh so much that you attach the earring to a kind of hook. That hook runs behind the ear and is attached at the top. In this way, the whole ear carries the weight and not just the earlobe. Good or not? "

It was many years ago when I saw some extraneous metal on the ears of CP Mary I think and was quite curious as to what it was since I couldn't see behind the ears,

I always love to see Victoria with the cut steel tiara, it seems to be made for her face. But in this case the asymmetrical but is not ideal with the tiara, imho.

I don't remember that ruby brooch. Does it belong to a parure?

No there is no ruby Parure in the swedish royal Collection. Only a few minor pieces like the Edward VII. ruby tiara and a few brooches but also no major necklace.

The ruby brooch from last night was stunning, does the Crown Princess own it or part of the family collection?

I think the necklace is successful but does look a little odd with Liliana’s tiara which has that gap in it. Two odd pieces together give the slight feeling that something is off.

It's from the family collection. Queen Silvia has had the brooch also as a pendant at a necklace:
