I remember that journalists could not access it,in Greece was forbidden to publish photos or reporting it in newspapers, I did not know there were so many royal guests in Tatoi, I'm surprised, I thought that only was family , I´m surprised.
Pictures? Any pictures of guests?

If you think it, the funeral was family because the guests were family of Queen Federika..the three Spanish journalists gained access to it was because the ambassador of Spain and some guests royals helped them.I remember that were many Spanish and foreign journalists in it, but authorities did not allowed access to the airport and the palace to them, the three Spanish journalists had several accomplices among the guests to access it.

Those are interesting to see - 17 and she's just learned she'll be Queen in less than a year. I recognize Sophie and Constantine in the first picture, but no one besides Anne-Marie in the second. Who are the two men in the second photo? I assume the three veiled women are Irene, Sophie, and Frederika, but I can't tell which one's which. And I'm guessing the other woman might be Alice, Princess Andrew, Prince Philip's mother?

The funeral of Queen Frederica was a very very private affair particularly due to the tension. No Greek or foreign dignitaries except for immediate family members (including King Juan Carlos, of course) attended the ceremony in Tatoi. All above statements are totally inaccurate. The airplane carrying the coffin and family members took off from Madrid,Spain and landed in the military airfield of Tatoi, just outside Athens. A few thousand royalists managed to get close, despite tight police measures. The family departed immediately after the interment.

I ve only seen two photos of the funeral . They are on the thread about the funerals of king paul and queen frederika. I always found it strange that even these two photos existed. I mean the family has fought very hard to get permission to bury her in Tatoi and they were hardly any guests. How on earth a photographer was allowed in ?

After the funeral of Queen Frederica supposedly King Juan Carlos said .. " this is the most uncivilized funeral i have ever attended", some royalists tried to storm into Tatoi and the police were trying to keep them out of the area , it must have been a fiasco , my grand mother whose father in law was connected to the Greek Royal Family was not given permission by the then Premier Karamanlis to attend the funeral , even then i had thought .. how "absolut ridiculous" . Recent photos i have seen of the Tatoi cemetery have me absolut "disgusted" , from every point of view -

It is possible that King Juan Carlos said it ,..... When Queen Frederika died the next day, King Constantine processed the documents of repatriation of the body through embassy.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Misotakis, he authorized it, without problem .. King Constantine received the document, no problem ...... The next day, without a word, the Foreign Minister said that the documents were canceled and started to put all kinds of obstacles to the conclusion of the funeral,.. Ambassador of Spain in Greece, I think his surname was Lezcano came to describe as shameful attitude of the Greek government ... King Juan Carlos had to travel on a plane different from the rest of the royal family. In the end, he authorize to the Royal Family stay in Greece from the sun would come out until nightfall .
The day before, the Greek Public Order Minister issued an order reminding the media that any information released about the funeral could be considered public order offense.

This picture was when they arrived to Tatoi militar airport.

Mr. Karamanlis was not prime-minister at the time. It was Mr. George Rallis.
