Prince Gustaf Adolf (1906-1947) was killed in an air crash in the airport of Copenhagen, Kastrup (Denmark) during a visit to his sister, the late Queen Ingrid of Denmark 26 January 1947, and therefore a generation Bernadotte was erased. What a terrible disaster. It was really shocking and devastating for the Royal Family and most of all for Gustaf V, Princess Sibylla and their children. When Prince Carl Gustaf was a child he wasn't allowed to talk about his father infront of the Princes mother, Princess Sibylla.
The Duke of Västerbotten is with no doubt one of my favourite royalties and I want you to remember him. Sometimes I wonder, how would it be if the Prince didn't die that day!
