As well as being a discussion forum TRF threads contain a wealth of detailed information about royal figures and their activities, fashions, jewels, homes etc.
A valuable part of this growing historical record is the collection of tens of thousands of images and picture links posted across the Forums which add to the sum of our knowledge and understanding.

Of concern to the moderating team, and no doubt to many members, is the increasing prevalence of picture links being posted with no accompanying information or detail whatsoever. A member who wishes to know something about a picture is therefore required to post questions asking for details. This is a frustrating exercise and would not be necessary if the relevant information was provided in the first place.

To enhance the quality of pic link posting and to minimise unnecessary irritants, members who post pic links or a series of pic links should ensure that the links are accompanied by some detail and explanation. This would include the event, date, location, and, if necessary, identification of the people in the link(s).

Please note that posts containing bare links with no accompanying information may be removed.
Thanks to those posters who already ensure their pic link posts provide members with all the relevant details.
